NaPoWriMo Poem #28: My Birthday?

I wake up in the morning,
And this is what I say,
“Oh my,”
“What a great day!”

I step outside into the garden,
I can see cakes and pies,
My friends come running,
With big smiles, shouting, “Surprise!”

They wish me, “Happy Birthday”,
But today is not my birthday!
Then mom wake me up,
It’s just a dream, my birthday is on Monday.

Some tulips are red,
Some are yellow,
They are spectacular,
Don’t you think so?

Mallows are pink,
Or maybe white,
They are sweet,
As Turkish delight.

Pansies are full of colours,
Yellow, purple, pink and blue,
They bring us joy,
As in a dream comes true.
