NaPoWriMo Poem #17: My Five Senses

I went into the kitchen one Wednesday.
And saw something familiar to me,
A roasted chicken, fresh from the oven,
It smelled so tasty as tasty can be.

I sniffed the aroma of the herbs and lemon,
From the tasty chicken on the serving plate,
I reached for my plate of my favourite chicken,
And touched it with my fingers before I ate.

I took a bite, it was so yummy,
Too busy eating, I didn’t hear the door,
In came my sisters Aiman and Anisah,
I finished my chicken and asked for more.

I just cannot understand how PAS leaders can share a stage with Hishamuddin and how PAS’s members who are all Muslims can listen and believe in his stories.

Hishamuddin has weird understanding about Islam, after all he is a very good friend of Anwar Ibrahim…

MERS Killed First Victim In Asia

A man Batu Pahat, Johor is the first victim who died because of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-coronavirus or MERS-CoV in Asia.
He passed away on April 13, 2014 after being admitted to the Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail for three days, following complaints of fever, cough and breathing difficulties.
He developed respiratory complications after returning from Mecca on March 29, 2014.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam urged passengers on board the Turkish Airlines flights TK93 and TK60 on the Jeddah-Istanbul-Kuala Lumpur route on March 29, 2014 to contact the Health Ministry for a health screening.MERS-CoV was first detected in the Middle East in 2012, but researchers have yet to determine its cause.238 cases of the disease had been recorded by the World Health Organization and 92 deaths related to the MERS-CoV globally to date.

DAP’s Karpal Singh Dies In Accident

TAPAH 17 April – Kenderaan pelbagai guna (MPV) Toyota Alphard yang dinaiki Ahli Parlimen Bukit Gelugor, Karpal Singh rosak teruk setelah merempuh belakang sebuah lori di kilometer 301.5 Lebuh Raya Utara Selatan awal pagi ini – Utusan.

DAP’s Bukit Gelugor MP, Karpal Singh killed in a car accident near Gopeng, Perak on the North-South highway at 1.30am this morning.

He was on the way to Penang to attend a court hearing .

His assistant, Michael Cornandez was also killed in the accident.

The Star reported that the Toyota Alphard in which Karpal, his son Ramkarpal, Michael Cornandez, his driver Selvam and his Indonesian helper were travelling collided with a lorry before going out of control.

Karpal’s Indonesian domestic helper is critically injured while Ramkarpal and Selvam were reported slightly injured.
