Beautiful Snow Pictures

There was heavy snow in Mid-Atlantic,USA over the weekend.

Aunty Selina sent me these beautiful photos 🙂

They were taken around her house in Maryland.

Aunty Selina works at the World Bank in Washington DC.

Her office was closed (and it is still close) since Monday because of the heavy snow 😦

Maybe the offices and schools will only be open next week.

I read in CNN that there are blizzards in the east coast of USA.

Blizzard is snow storm.

I wish I can go there to play in the snow

Anyway in Malaysia it is very, very hot 😳

The temperature is about 91°F.

I hope on 13 February 2010 it will be snowing in Malaysia 🙄

A Trip To Putrajaya

On Monday 1st of  February, I went to Putrajaya after lunch.

I had lunch at the ‘Black Canyon Coffee’.

I did not drink coffee but I drank ‘Blueberry Delight’.

I saw a lot of flags of the states of Malaysia in Putrajaya.

There are a lot of beautiful buildings over there 🙂

The buildings are new because it is a new city 😆

I also saw nice new bridges over the man made lakes.

We drove to the Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC).

We went to the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque.

It is very big and beautiful but there is almost nobody there ❓

We prayed Asr at the Putra Mosque.

I found a red ‘autumn  leaf’ on a bench near the mosque.

There are lots of beautiful lamp posts too and they must be very expensive.

Then we went to  Kuala Lumpur International Airport(KLIA).

We had dinner at McDonald’s.

Then we said good bye to Aunty Selina.

Aunty Selina was going to Tokyo, Japan by Japan Airlines (JAL).

After that she’ll be flying United Airlines to the United States.

Aunty Selina works at the World Bank in Washington D.C.

I wish Aunty Selina can visit Malaysia again and bring me more nice books, jigsaw puzzles and tasty chocolates.

I miss Aunty Selina very much.

Take Me Home, Country Roads

Have you heard the song, ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’?

I really love singing the song.

It was written and sang by John Denver.

The song is about the country roads in West Virgina.

It tells us about the beautiful mountains and the Shenadoah River.

I have been on the country roads in Ohio, New York and the Mid-West but not in West Virginia.

I wish that I can go to West Virginia and see the beautiful places as in the song.

We planned to go to Washington DC and to West Virginia this summer but we could not go there because of Influenza A(H1N1).

I hope I can go to West Virginia next year  😉

During rush lots and lots of people want to ride the trains.

DC means District of Columbia.

It was a very bad train accident 😥

It was a disaster.

It happened just before 5 pm on the above ground track on the Red Line near the border with Takoma Park, Maryland.

One train was not moving when the crash happened.

Mayor Adrian Fenty said it was the deadliest crash in the history of Metro.

The rescuers cut through the trains to rescue people because one train was on top of the other train.

The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate why it happened.

U.S. Celebrates as President Obama Vows New Era

President Obama
President Obama

Barrack Obama becomes the new U.S. president yesterday.

President Obama is the U.S. 44th president.

President Obama is a smart politician.

He won lots of elections.

The U.S. 43rd president was George W. Bush.

When George W. Bush was the U.S. president, there were lots of wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine.

U.S. presidents live at the White House in Washington DC.

The U.S. first president was George Washington.

I hope President Obama will go to the United Nations meetings to stop the wars.

I think war is very, very, very, very, very bad and a disaster.
