Bodies Of Russian Accident Victims Laid To Rest In Their Hometowns

The bodies of the two Malaysian students, who were killed in a road accident in Russia on Sunday, arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport late Friday.

Adzreen Dimyati, 22 who was a Public Service Department (PSD) scholar was laid to rest at the Precinct 20 Muslim Cemetery in Putrajaya later in the night.

Meanwhile the body of Hanisah Muhd Shah who was sponsored by MARA arrived at the Tengku Ampuan Intan Zaharah Mosque in Dungun at about 6.53am Saturday morning and was safely buried at the Syed Yahya Muslim Cemetery in Kampung Molek at about 7.55am.

M’sian Accident Victims In Russia Transferred To Nizhny

The five medical students who were injured in a road accident in the Vladimirskaya region, Russia had been transferred from a hospital inViyazniky, Vladimirskaya to a hospital in Nizhny since two days ago.

The injured students are MARA-sponsored students Siti Nadiah Abdullah Sani, Nurul Amirah Mohd Nor, Nor Hidayah Jailuddin, Nur Liyana Kamarul Bahrin and Siti Romeza Abdul Reza.

Two other Malaysian medical students, Hanisah Muhd Shah from Dungun, Terengganu and Adzreen Binyati from Putrajaya were killed in the accident.

All of them are Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy fifth-year medical students.

NST reported that Umno Overseas Club chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said they would extend any help that they could give to the victims’ families.

Ahmad Shabery, who is also the Youth And Sports Minister, also said that the club, along with other government agencies, would try and bring the injured, who are being treated at the hospital, back to Malaysia if the need arises.

Bodies Of M’sian Students Killed In Russia To Arrive Home Thursday

Mara director-general Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad said preparations were being made by the Mara director in Russia, Suhaimi Zainuldin, to bring back the bodies of  the medical students who were killed in an accident in Russia.

The bodies of Hanisah Muhd Shah and Adzreen Binyati are scheduled to arrive in the country tomorrow.

(News Update: Bodies Of M’sian Students Killed In Russia To Arrive Home Thursday)

Seven Malaysian medical students were involved in a road accident in the Vladimirskaya region, Russia at about 11pm on September 2, 2012.

They were travelling from the Moscow Airport to Nizhny when the minibus they were in collided with a similar vehicle after spending Hari Raya in Malaysia.

Hanisah Muhd Shah died on the spot while Adzreen Binyati died on the way to the hospital.

Hanisah Muhd Shah was a MARA-sponsored student from Dungun, Terengganu while Adzreen Binyati was a JPA sponsored student from Putrajaya.

The injured students are MARA-sponsored students Siti Nadiah Abdullah Sani, Nurul Amirah Mohd Nor, Nor Hidayah Jailuddin, Nur Liyana Kamarul Bahrin and Siti Romeza Abdul Reza.

They are being treated at a hospital in Vladimirskaya.

All of them are Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy fifth-year medical students.

I am very sad and sorry for the victims, their families and friends.
