The Cayan Tower in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is the tallest twisted building in the world, with a twist of 90 degrees.

The 306 metres (1,004 ft), 80 story skyscraper was known as Infinity Tower before its inauguration on June 10, 2013.

The Cayan is designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) architectural group and  developed by Cayan Real Estate Investment and Development.

Skidmore, Owings and Merrill is also the designer of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, also in Dubai.

The construction of the skyscraper began in February 2006 but it was delayed after a major flood occurred at the foundation site when the wall that held back the Dubai Marina was breached on 7 February 2007, causing sand and water to flow to the site.

World’s Most Expensive Motor-home

World’s most expensive motor-home had been on sale in Dubai.

It is like a private jet on wheels with master bedroom and all other luxury things.

It also has a ‘Sky Lounge’ at the top of the motor-home where you can sit on the sofa and enjoy the view around you.

Motor-home is a very interesting vehicle to travel in, where we could travel anywhere feeling like we are at home.

And this luxury motor-home is even more interesting …

Chillout Cafe: Dubai’s First Ice Lounge

A toddler sits in his stroller while his parents tour the insides of the Chillout cafe in Dubai May 12, 2013. Chillout, owned by UAE’s Sharaf Group, is the first ice lounge in the Middle East, with temperatures set at -6 degrees Celsius (21 degrees Farenheit). The cafe, with its illuminated interiors, curtains, paintings and seating arrangements, is all made of carved ice and frozen sculptures. Picture taken May 12, 2013. There is a nice restaurant made of ice in Dubai called Dubai’s Chillout Cafe, which is the first “ice lounge” in the Middle East.

Even the chairs, tables and curtains in the restaurant are carved from ice.

It is -6 degree celsius in there and before you get in, you must wear thick and fluffy winter jackets.

I do hope that I could visit the restaurant 🙂

Lufthansa Cargo Plane Crashed

On Tuesday July 27,2010 a Lufthansa cargo plane crashed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This is a disaster.

Its German pilot and co-pilot were injured.

The plane was close to the airport when it caught fire and the engines stopped working.

Then it crashed and split into two halves.

The plane came from Frankfurt to Riyadh and was on the way to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and then to Hong Kong.

I think it was lucky that the pilot and co- pilot were not killed in the crash.

In the Fedex plane crash in China on March 23, 2009 the pilot ad  co-pilot were killed.
