Mahathir Gets Caustic About People’s Rejection of New National Car Suggestion

Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir is disappointed and sad about the people’s rejection to his infamous new national car project.

Will he succeed in pushing his dream to see a second national car project come true?

After all Tun Dr. Mahathir is a fighter and will never give up easily.

Let us wait and see the reactions from other PH’s leaders regarding this matter.

[The Star}- PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir (pic) voiced his disappointment over the mostly negative response towards the Government’s initiative for a new national car.

“I am told no one wants to see a second national car. It is enough that Proton is said to be a failure,” he wrote in a blog post on Monday (July 16).

“Malaysians prefer to buy imported cars, including those from China,” he wrote rather acerbically.

“Their choice is Japanese cars and those with a lot of money (choose) German cars.”

He said countries such as Japan and Korea discourage the import of foreign cars, and that is the reason behind their high-quality cars.

“I remember Japanese cars right after the war. The consumers said if we scratch it with our nail, we can see (it is made out of) Milo tin.

“However from that ‘Milo tin’ car comes a variety of the Toyota, Nissan and Suzuki models that we use now,” he said.

Dr Mahathir said he is not suggesting that the new national car project be spearheaded by the government as the private sector is already capable of designing and mass producing automobiles.

“However, because we have rejected the suggestion of a (new) national car, we have already closed off all suggestions for the private sector to produce motor cars,” he said.

He said foreign cars monopolised the car market in Malaysia to the point that Proton is “buried” and sold off to foreign entities.

“There is no more national car. No more automotive industry. The workers, engineers, managers don’t have jobs anymore.

He did not refer to Perodua, the second national car company.

“Malaysia would become a country of consumers, paddy field planters and fishermen.

“Forget about Vision 2020,” he said sardonically.

On June 11, Dr Mahathir had revealed at the 24th Nikkei Conference on the Future of Asia the Government’s plans to work on a new national car.

However, many Malaysians did not respond positively to the suggestion. When the story was posted on the official Facebook page of The Star Online, there were over 1,000 comments.

Many asked that the public transport system be improved instead, while some pointed out that we had to learn the lessons of Proton.

Apakah Ini Penerapan Nilai-Nilai Islam?

As I wrote in, “Tun Dr Mahathir (Tun M), From A Statesman To A Street Demonstrator”, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, who was once admired as a statesman, a nationalist and a man of principle has turned into an anti-government street demonstrator after he left UMNO.

Now, it seems like Tun M, whom by now is a seasoned street demonstrator is always ready to take to the streets for what ever reasons as long as he can protest against the government and UMNO, the political party that had brought him to power.

It is really odd to see the man who had once introduced ‘Penerapan Nilai-Nilai Islam’ into his government policies is now a close friend of his once nemesis, the DAP’s Lim Kit Siang who had arrogantly rebuked and condemned the holy Quran, claiming that the verse 120 of Surah Al-Baqarah causes religious hatred and blasted JAKIM for using the said verse in Khutbah Jumaat.

Recently, in a rally called Wanita #BantahPolitikToksik which was powered and supported by the oppositions parties and liberal movements that are fighting for anti-Islam agendas like COMANGO, G25, SIS Forum Bhd. Empower, WAMN and others, Tun was seen taking part in the what was advertised as a rally for women along side DAP leaders like Hannah Yeoh.

Tun Dr. Mahathir was accompanied by his wife Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah and some of his immediate family members, and his wife was one of the speakers, hence indicating that not only both Tuns endorsed the demands made by the demonstrators but they are supporting the demands which includes LGBT rights as written on the poster carried by their granddaughter, Ineza Roussille who is also Marina’s daughter.

Also seen at the rally were the infamous Siti Zabedah, Ambiga, Teresa Kok, Marina Mahathir and those who constantly slander the ideology of our country by saying that Malaysia is a secular country, fighting against the Federal Constitution that enshrines Malaysia as an Islamic country, questioning the constitutional duties of the government to protect the religion of Islam, trying to lower the position of Islam in Malaysia to the same level as other religions, making baseless and malicious accusations towards the Islamic authorities, fighting for the rights of LGBT and a lot more of other things.

Now, apa dah jadi Tun? Tun dah sokong tuntutan COMANGO?

Perhaps, COMANGO may consider making one of the Tuns their spokesperson for the coming UPR in Geneva.

I really wonder who is the real Tun; is he the person who he used to be or the person he is now?

Tun M, Tolong Jawab Soalan Saya Yang Tun Gagal Jawab Dalam Surat Tun

“Nothing to Hide 2.0” forum, which is organised by Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) and to be held on Aug 13, 2017 is supposed to be the platform where the party promises to answer all the questions asked by its audience.

Anyhow, funnily Free Malaysia Today (FMT) reported that, “Mahathir said the platform would be a good place for Najib to address the allegations against him once and for all”.

In my opinion, in contrary to what was said by Tun M as reported by FMT, PPBM should not waste its time and money on PM Najib, but should make full use of the opportunity to clear out issues that are bothering some of their supporters and the general public, especially about the vision and mission, as well as the direction of the party in the future.

I have an important question that Tun M had failed to answer in the letter that was sent to me by Tun M as to answer an important question regarding PPBM’s agreement with DAP, PKR, PAN that I wrote in my blog post on the 10th of January, 2017.

(Please read: Perjanjian DAP, PKR, PAN, PPBM Untuk Meminda Perkara 3(1)?)

In the agreement which was named, Perjanjian Kerjasama Pakatan Harapan – PPBM, the four parties agreed on several main issues including to uphold the Federal Constitution.

In the post, I asked why did the parties involved added the word “bebas” to the Article 3(1) which will definitely undermine the position of Islam as the religion of the Federation and distort the interpretation of the Article 3(1)?

To my surprise, on January 12, 2017, I received a letter from Tun M himself to answer the question I had asked in my post.

The letter was sent by the Office of Datuk Badariah Arshad, Director of  Operations, Perdana Leadership Foundation (Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana) to my father via e-mail, to be forwarded to me.

Unfortunately, not only Tun M’s explanation failed to answer my question, but it made the matter even more confusing.

In contrary to what was written by Tun, the Article 3(1) is the Article that confers Islam as the religion of the Federation and it’s position over other religions in Malaysia and not about the rights to convert to other religions as what Tun tried to explain in his letter.

The letter that was sent to me by Tun Dr. Mahathir.

So, if I will be able to attend the program, I really want to ask Tun M the above question as the issue is crucial for it touches on the supreme law of our Nation and hopefully this time Tun M will be able to answer my question because he has Nothing to Hide.

Mengarutnya Tun Mahathir… (Video)
