Bo La Weiii, A Catchy Song By Eddie Hamid
My mother found this wonderful Kelantanese song on the internet which I think that some of you will enjoy.
I really enjoy it because it has nice music and catchy tune.
‘Bo La Weiii’ is written by Eddie Hamid and it is in Kelantanese dialect and he uses some traditional musical instruments that makes the music so nice and catchy.
Since I do not understand the Kelantanese dialect, I do not understand what was said in the song, so I tried to get some ideas by watching the video clip 🙂
It shows problems faced by the people under PAS government such as very dirty water from the tap, and the hills without trees which were cut down without considering of the environmental problems caused by over foresting and so on; no wonder PAS supporters are not happy with the song.
Anyway, please watch the video clip below, you may not able to understand it but the music is very nice and catchy…
I wonder if my readers like the song as much as I do?
Pak Cik Burhan’s Birthday
Today is Pak Cik Burhan’s birthday.
- Pak Cik Burhan at Kak Tasneem’s wedding.
Pak Cik Burhan is one of my father’s best friend. His full name is Wan Burhan Wan Ismail.
They used to study at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale, USA.
I wonder if Pak Cik Burhan receives lots of presents for his birthday ❓
I sent Pak Cik Burhan a very special birthday song.
It is one of my favourite songs.
By the way, 5 days ago was my birthday.
And on the 16th Feb, 2011, my father bought me a big and delicious birthday cake.
But I’m very sad because my father did not take any photo of my birthday cake 😦 😥
I hope Pak Cik Burhan loves the birthday song that I sent him 😉 😆
Happy birthday, Pak Cik Burhan!
‘Imagination’, A Song From ‘Small Potatoes’
I’ve listened the song, ‘Imagination’ from ‘Small Potatoes’ .
I think it is a very beautiful song.
Please click here for the song.

The song says that we can imagine anything we want.
I love imaginations too 🙂

Sometimes I imagine visiting castles and kings and going to faraway places.
I think that the video clip is so cute; and the colours and graphic are wonderful.
My big sisters love the video clip too 🙂
Thank you for the link to Mr. Josh Selig.

Ramadan
Now is the month of Ramadan.
During Ramadan we fast together.
This is the song about Ramadan by Dawud Wharnsby Ali.
I like the song very much because it teaches me about Ramadan.
Well, we’ve scanned the sky and we’ve sighted the moon
And we welcome the month of Ramadan
When we’ll fast together for Allah, to help and strengthen our iman
Oh it was so very long ago
In the holy month of Ramadan
Allah sent his message to the world
The holy book of Quran
A light to shine for all mankind
A guide to teach us right from wrong
First revealed on the night of power
With peace until the rising of the dawn.
So we’ve scanned the sky and we’ve sighted the moon
And we welcome the month of Ramadan
When we’ll fast together for Allah, to help and strengthen our iman
As the sun lay sleeping, beneath the blanket of the night
We rise early to make suhur, before the white thread of light
We’re patient and kind, remembering Allah all throughout our day
And when the sun has gone and we’ve made iftar,
We gather together and pray.
’cause we’ve scanned the sky and we’ve sighted the moon
And we welcome the month of Ramadan
When we’ll fast together for Allah, to help and strengthen our iman
Well, we’ve scanned the sky and we’ve sighted the moon
And we welcome the month of Ramadan
When we’ll fast together for Allah, to help and strengthen our iman
So many of our brothers and sisters, all across the land
They have no food to eat at all, and they need a helping hand
When we fast from morning ’til the night, to fulfill Allah’s command
We feel the hunger and thirst they feel, and it helps us to understand
For, all too fast, the moon goes past, our month of blessings now has gone
But we’ll keep its spirit throughout the year, Everyday should be like Ramadan
So we’ve scanned the sky and we’ve sighted the moon
And we say “Farewell” to Ramadan
When we fast together for Allah, to help and strengthen our iman
Yes, we’ve scanned the sky and we’ve sighted the moon
And we say “Farewell” to Ramadan
When we fast together for Allah, to help and strengthen our iman
Take Me Home, Country Roads
Have you heard the song, ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’?
I really love singing the song.
It was written and sang by John Denver.
The song is about the country roads in West Virgina.
It tells us about the beautiful mountains and the Shenadoah River.
I have been on the country roads in Ohio, New York and the Mid-West but not in West Virginia.
I wish that I can go to West Virginia and see the beautiful places as in the song.
We planned to go to Washington DC and to West Virginia this summer but we could not go there because of Influenza A(H1N1).
I hope I can go to West Virginia next year 😉

Guantánamera
Guantánamera is a Spanish song.
Yesterday I listen to Guantánamera on You Tube.
Sandpipers sang the song.
I love this song because it is very, very, very, very nice.
In English Guantánamera means a girl from Guantanamo.
This is the lyrics of Guantánamera:
Yo soy un hombre sincero
|
I am a sincere man
|
Mi verso es de un verde claro
|
My verse is light green
|
This third verse was never part of the song, Guantanamera, but was written in “Versos Sencillos”Cultivo una rosa blanca
|
I cultivate a white rose
|
This fourth verse is translated during the song as sung by Pete Seeger & Arlo Guthrie[3]Y para el cruel que me arranca
|
And for the cruel one
|
Final verse of song, as published:Con los pobres de la tierra
