Scene of the Second Penang Bridge ramp collapse.- Gary Chen/The Star – 7 June, 2013

The ramp to the Penang Second Bridge which is still under construction collapsed yesterday evening at about 7:15pm at Lebuhraya  Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu in Batu Maung, Penang.

At least one person was killed and three others were injured in the incident.

It is reported that a search camera has detected an unmoving arm in a white Perodua Kelisa lying crushed under tons of concrete and steel.

Berita Harian said that it took a long time to pull out the victim in the Kelisa because the car was trapped under steels and concrete that was estimated to weigh about 300 ton so it needed special machineries and proper plans as not to cause more disaster.

It was reported that the rescuers may be able to free the body this evening.

The Star reported that, “the car plate number with some digits missing is ‘PF?347?’ “

The authorities are still investigating the cause of the disaster.

I am sad and sorry for the victims, their families and friends.

SUARAM’s Candlelight Vigil – Who Actually Supports RACISM?

The above photo was from Generasi Pejuang Bangsa.
SUARAM’s candlelight vigil at Esplanade, Penang. (The photo is from Generasi Pejuang Bangsa/ GPB).

Suara Rakyat Malaysia’s, (SUARAM) Candlelight Vigil was held at the Esplanade in Penang on May 13, 2013.

(sejarahmelayu.blogspot.com/2013/05/hot-melayu-pr-ppinang-engkar-fatwa.html)

I would like to say three things about the above picture:

  1. There is a man wearing Muslim attire in the photo  Didn’t he knows that Muslims should not join Candlelight Vigil?

  2. The candles on the ground forms the sentence, “TOLAK RASISM!!!” Who are they referring to?

  3. The second banner from left says; “APA WE MAO? Bersih Lah” Why did they use the word ‘MAO’ when they should know that the right word in Bahasa Melayu is ‘mahu’; so they actually humiliates the Malays, especially when the word ‘Mao’ is synonym to Mao Zedong, a communist leader from China.

GPB wrote that:

“Turut hadir beberapa anggota Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN), termasuk (Sungai Puyu) dan Dr Afif Bahardin (Seberang Jaya).”

I am sad to see Muslims who do not understand that Muslims cannot take part in any Candlelight Vigil activity and PAS who supports SUARAM does not care to warn the PR’s Muslims about this.

(e-fatwa.gov.my/fatwa-kebangsaan/hukum-penglibatan-orang-islam-dalam-aktiviti-candlelight-vigil)

And in referring to them using the word ‘MAO’ instead of ‘mahu’, I want to ask SUARAM, now who are the ones who are actually racist?

It is easy to say bad things about others but it is hard to admit our own mistakes and for SUARAM, they are always perfect and like all the PR leaders, members and supporters – BN is never right and they would try to blame BN for whatever mistake that they ever made.

Muzakarah Jawatankuasa Fatwa Majlis Kebangsaan Bagi Hal Ehwal Ugama Islam Malaysia Kali Ke-88 yang bersidang pada 2 Oktober 2009 telah membincangkan Hukum Penglibatan Orang Islam Dalam Aktiviti Candlelight Vigil. Muzakarah telah memutuskan bahawa:

  1. Islam melarang umatnya daripada terlibat dalam apa jua amalan yang bersifat ritual atau upacara agama bukan Islam.

  2. Umat Islam dilarang menyertai aktiviti Candlelight Vigil kerana ia mengandungi unsur-unsur tasyabbuh dengan agama bukan Islam yang akan menjejaskan akidah umat Islam.

Pakatan Rakyat, Pluralism, Socialism And Revolusion

In Penang, a small group of people had attended a ‘Holy Book Reading’ session yesterday.

Among them was Mislina Mustaffa who had earlier participated in other illegal demonstrations organised by the oppositions such as the ‘Occupy Dataran Merdeka’ and the’ KL112′.

From Occupy Dataran Merdeka, to the HKR #KL112 and all the way to here.
From Occupy Dataran Merdeka, to the HKR #KL112 and now the ‘Holy Book reading’. Thank you Sel 13, Cucu Tok selampit and info 4 the truth for the photos.

I don’t know which holy books they were reading because I was not there.

Anyway I saw a lady wearing hijab in the photos.

I wonder; if she is a Muslim, does she understand what she was doing?

A part of the people who attended the event.

But reading the sign below, maybe she does not understand …

hhh
I wonder if they wrote this sign to tell that they are confused …

This is part of Pluralism of Religions and for the Muslims, this is not the right way  to respect other religions.

And there was a sign in one of the photos below that said …

“Read it, NOT BURN IT!!

We RESPECT other RELIGIONS!!”

Who wrote this sign and why?

What issue are they referring to, and who are they accusing as the bad person?

(Please click the photos for larger image)

nnn
Who are these people?

And look at the words written on the man’s t-shirt, ‘socialism’ and ‘revolt’. (Please read: KL112: Is PR After A Revolution? and A New Malaysian Flag – A Sign Of PR’s Revolution?

So are they part of those groups who want to start a revolution and support socialism?

Socialism has lots of similarities to communism.

So, is this a part of the oppositions’ plans to make people hate the Muslims and UMNO?

So, what will PAS leaders say about this?

Can we trust PR to uphold our Federal Constitution especially Article 3(1)?

PAS Says, “Yes” For The Word “Allah” In The Malay Version Bible.

The Sultan of Selangor has expressed his shock and regret, and the Sultan is very disappointed over the statement made by DAP’s Chief Minister of Penang, Lim Guan Eng about using the word “Allah” in the Malay version of bible.

It was reported that, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah had called for an emergency meeting with members of the Selangor Islamic Affairs Council (MAIS), Selangor mufti as well as high-ranking officials of MAIS and Selangor Islamic Affairs Department (JAIS) on Jan 6 over the matter.

Mais secretary Datuk Mohd Misri Idris said in a statement Tuesday that, “The Sultan of Selangor has made a decision and decreed that the word Allah is a sacred word specific for Muslims and prohibited to be used by any non-Muslim religion in Selangor as stated in a fatwa and gazetted on Feb 18, 2010.”

I am very proud and happy to know that the Sultan of Selangor is a very good leader who we can trust to protect the word Allah from being used by the non-Muslim to refer to their gods.

I am very sad but not surprised on PAS president, Haji Hadi Awang’s and PKR’s Anwar Ibrahim’s stand on the issue.

After all, I do not think that the opposition parties understand Article 3(1) and 11(4) of the Federal Constitution.

Please read:

  1. Seminar Mendaulatkan Islam Agama Negara

  2. Is PR Trying To Abrogate Article 11 (4)?

PAS leaders and members said that UMNO leaders and members are unIslamic but just look at what their leaders are doing.

I just cannot understand how PAS members who are all Muslims can accept such humiliation to Islam and still think that they are better Muslims than others.

Now I understand how important it is to have Sultans to protect the Malays and Islam. (Please read: Sultan Not Invited To Selangor Merdeka Celebration, Who’s Fault?)

‘Giant’ Grouper Caught Off The Teluk Bahang Coast

Heavy task: A group of men trying to lift the 195kg grouper at Cecil Street Market in Penang. The Star, December 19 2012.

Above is a picture of a grouper that is believed to be the largest fish caught in the Malaysian waters.

A fisherman named Tan Kah Seng, 38 claimed that he caught the 195 kg grouper off the Teluk Bahang coast on Monday night.

Mr. Tan said that it may take about 35 years for a grouper to grow to such a large size.

The huge fish is 1.8m long.

In the Malay language, grouper is called ikan kerapu.

A Giant Bottle Replica In Georgetown

The Consumers Association Of Penang (CAP) complained about a bottle-like replica in Penang.

When I first saw this picture of the giant bottle, I wonder what it is …

Could it be a giant bottle of  a new carbonated drink?

Lets us take another look…

A soy sauce?!?!

A bit more closer …

Oh dear ❗ Bottles of beer.

It was reported that above the replica, there is a banner that writes, ‘Syawal Ceria’!

Does that beer has anything to do with the coming Muslim’s Syawal celebrations?

Is this another attempt to humiliate the Muslims and Islam?

PAS leaders claim that PAS is an Islamic party and fighting for Islam.

PAS also says that DAP’s non Muslim leaders are more Islamic, understand and respect Islam more than UMNO’s Muslim leaders.

So why does none of the Islamic PR leaders especially PAS complain about this ?:?

Penang is one of the states controlled by PR.

As usual, it is always okay with the PAS leaders and supporters when a bad thing is done by either PAS, DAP or PKR … may be it is a part of PAS’s hudud 🙂

The Delicious ‘Original’ Mee Udang Sungai Dua(Part 1)

‘Mee Udang Sungai Dua'(please click here) is very popular in Penang and there are lots of ‘mee udang'(prawn noodle) restaurants in Sungai Dua.

Sungai Dua is in Butterworth, Penang(please click here).

Last week, Pak Cik Burhan(please click here) showed us a restaurant that he said is the original restaurant selling very delicious ‘mee udang’ in Sungai Dua.

The name of the restaurant is ‘Restoran Aur Gading’.

Restoran Aur Gading, Sungai Dua.

The restaurant is by a river and we can see the river while eating.

I saw some people fishing by the river.

A fishing rod by the river.

The place is beautiful and there are lots of trees around the restaurant.

We can see the river from our table.

Pak Cik Burhan and my parents ordered the ‘mee udang’.

My parent enjoyed the ‘mee udang’ very much!

They said that the ‘mee udang’ is very, very tasty but I think it is too hot 😉

A plate of yummy half eaten 'mee udang'. Three plates of the tasty 'mee udang' is RM41.60.

My sisters ordered ‘kuey teow goreng'(fried flat noodle).

A plate of 'kuey teow goreng'; my mother said it is 'mamak' styled .

I ordered ‘kuey teow sup'(flat noodle in clear soup) 🙂

The ‘kuey teows’ are not that tasty but the ‘mee udang’ are really good.

So, if you want a delicious ‘Mee Udang Sungai Dua’, you can visit this restaurant.

Catching A Feather

Have you ever catch a feather from a flying bird?

I caught one on July 17, 2011 on the field in front of the Dato’ Haji Ahmad Badawi in Butterworth, Penang.

I walked across the field with my father to take some photos of me standing in front of a SEMAIAN banner (please click here).

I am standing at the end of the big field in front of the Dewan Dato' Haji Ahmad Badawi, Penang. Across the road is the Butterworth Palm Inn Hotel.

As we walked back to the Dato’ Haji Ahmad Badawi Hall, we saw some pigeons on the field.

Some of the pigeons on the field.

So I walked slowly towards them as not to scare the pigeons.

I walk slowly to the pigeons...

But they flew away…

Suddenly, one of pigeon’s feather flew out of it’s wings.

It flew in the air.

I ran after it and I caught it before it falls to the ground

The first feather that I caught from a flying bird.

And I took the feather back to Kuala Lumpur 😉
