A Map of Trengganu Book Signing

Uncle Hulaimi's fans listening to his speech at the event. I was sitting third from right in the front row.

Just now I went to the book signing of  ‘A Map of Trengganu’ ( AMoT ).

It was held in the MPH Bookstore, Mid Valley, KL.

We met some bloggers and some of my parent’s Terengganu friends.

Uncle Hulaimi’s teacher, Mr. Soh Kim Yew was also there with Aunty Dinah Soh and Aunty Soh Lay Choo.

From right is my mother, Mr. Soh Kim Yew, Aunty Soh Lay Choo and Aunty Dinah Soh.

AMoT  was written by Wan Ahmad Hulaimi or Awang Goneng.

He gave a nice speech and he talked about how to write books.

His speech was in English and not in Trengganuspeak 🙂

I was listening to Uncle Hulaimi's speech. From the right is Pok Ku Bustaman (a popular Terengganu blogger), my big sister Kaman, Kafah, me, my mother and somebody from the press (I guess).

I am happy that he also mentioned my name to the audience as ‘his friend, Che Ali the blogger’.

Uncle Hulaimi is the only person who calls me ‘Che Ali’

Some people at the event thought my name is really Che Ali 😆

Before we go home, we waited for Uncle Hulaimi to sign the books that we have to deliver.

My big sister Kashah(R), Kaman and me with Uncle Hulaimi who was busy signing the books.

I feel so happy that I met Uncle Hulaimi, Uncle A. Samad Said, Aunty Zaharah and other friends of my parent’s 😀

Mr Plod And His Sore Arm

aimans-picI bought this book at the MPH Warehouse Sale.

This book was written by Enid Blyton.

I enjoyed reading this book.

This is the story.

Mr Plod rode his bicycle and hit a stone.

CRASH!

Mr Plod hurt his right arm.

Big Ears ran out of the house to help Mr Plod.

Big Ears put a sling on his right arm.

Big Ears told Mr Plod to rest for a few days.

But Mr Plod wanted to work.

Noddy told Mr Plod that somebody stole his biscuits.

When they reached Noddy’s house they saw the biscuit-thief.

His name was Gobbo the goblin.

He was climbing Noddy’s window for more biscuits.

Mr Plod held Gobbo’s hand.

Mr Plod couldn’t reach the hand cuffs because his hand was hurt.

Gobbo ran away.

Mr Plod went to the centre of Toy Town.

He wanted to direct the traffic.

But he couldn’t put up his right hand to stop Mr Sparks.

Fortunately Mr Wobbly Man could jump away.

Next Mr Plod tried to stop Noddy and Big Ears from colliding.

But he could not put up his hand to stop Noddy.

BANG!

Noddy and Big Ears drove right into each other.

Everybody was angry.

They told Mr Plod to go home to rest until his hand gets better.

Mr Plod had to agree with them.

He went home to rest.

Get well soon, Mr Plod!

MPH Warehouse Sale

Yesterday I went to the MPH warehouse sale in Petaling Jaya.

The place was very big.

There are books all around the place.

I went there to buy books.

We spent 4 hours over there.

I went there with Kaman, Mama and Abah.

My 2 other sisters did not go to MPH because they were at school.

I read 5 books over there.

I read 3 Bob the Builder, 1 Barney and 1 Thomas.

The best was Barney Easter Eggs.

Bob The Builder were too simple.

The words were too big.

I also drank a can of Yeo’s tea.

My father bought lots of books.

My father bought me some books too.

The best was ‘Diego and Click take a Pic‘.

It was about Diego’s camera named Click.

The book shaped like Click the camera.

I love it very much.

I enjoyed going to MPH sale because I love to read books.

Reading good books is a good practice.
