Heavy Rain Warning
(Red Stage)

SECTION A : HEAVY RAIN WARNING (RED STAGE)
Heavy rain occurring over Kelantan (Kota Bharu, Pasir Puteh, Bachok and Tumpat Districts) and Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman Districts) is expected to continue until Saturday, 28 November 2015.

SECTION B : HEAVY RAIN WARNING (ORANGE STAGE)

Moderate rain occurring over Kelantan (Kuala Krai, Gua Musang, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang and Pasir Mas Districts), Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu Districts), Johore (Mersing, Kota Tinggi, Segamat, Kluang, Kulaijaya & Johor Bahru Districts ) and Pahang (Kuantan, Pekan & Rompin Districts) is expected to continue until Saturday, 28 November 2015.

More Water Spouts Predicted In Malaysian Waters

At about 3:30 pm on June 18, 2011, villagers in Pengkalan Teluk Buih, Air Papan, Mersing, Johore were surprised to see a water spout that swiftly moved towards their village.

A lot of fishermen’s boats were reported damaged.

Water spout rarely happens in Malaysian waters in the past.

Anyway the Meteorological Department predicts that the changing climate could result in more waterspouts in certain areas such as the one that occurred here.

Similar waterspouts had been detected in Penang, Selangor, Malacca, Sarawak and Sabah.

Water spout is something like a tornado(twister) but it started in the sea or ocean. 

It is a disaster. 





7.7 Earthquake Hit Indonesia

7 04 2010

A 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit Sumatra at 5:15 am Indonesian time, 125 miles from Sibolga.

Sibolga is in North Sumatra.

It is 448km southwest of Pangkor Island in Malaysia.

So far there is no report of damage.

The Indonesian Meteorological and Geophysics Agency issued a tsunami warning.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department also issued a tsunami warning to coastal areas in Perlis, Penang and Kedah.

People in high buildings in Malaysia felt the earthquake.

There had been lots of earthquakes in Sumatra, Indonesia.

Indonesia is in the Ring Of Fire.

On Sunday a 7.2 earthquake hit Mexico.

Haiti and Chile were also badly hit by earthquakes this year.

Earthquake is a natural disaster.

There were small tsunamis in Banyak Islands and Teluk Dalam, Indonesia.

The tsunami warnings had been canceled.
