At the end of May 2013, Jupiter, Venus and Mercury form a celestial triangle in the night sky.
The three planets shine together in a triangle formation low in the western sky in a planetary meet-up known as a conjunction.
We can even see them with naked eyes if the sky is clear and the place is not too bright.
This cosmic show is so special spectacular because it includes the three brightest planets visible in the May night sky.
Venus is the brightest of the trio, with Jupiter a close second and Mercury coming in third.
Flickr photographers snapped awesome photos of this very rare and special event.

From the photographer: “A trio conjunction of the three planets is taken on 28/05/2013 at Chelsea Beach, Victoria, Australia. Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury now all fit within a 5° circle and will stay that close together until the end of May. Your thumb at arm’s length will almost cover them. This remarkable planetary trio takes place low in the west-northwest shortly after sunset. The next closest grouping of these three planets will not happen until January 2021.” (Photo by Duy Duy Tran/ Credit to Yahoo News)
According to Space.com: “All the action is taking place low in the west-northwest sky about 45 minutes to an hour after sunset where, over a span of a week, the three planets will seem to perform slow acrobatics.” (Photo by RS Yoyo/ Credit to Yahoo News).

There used to be 9 planets and more than 170 moons in our solar system.
The 9 planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
But in August 2006, the International Astronomical Union decided to re-classify Pluto as a “dwarf planet”, and not in the same category as the 8 planets.
So now there are 8 planets in the solar system.
Each planet goes around the Sun on its own path called orbit.
Anyway we cannot see the paths because they are invisible.
Earth takes about 365 days to orbit the Sun.
This is called one Earth year.
And each moons moves around its planet in its own orbit.
The size of the planet from the smallest to the biggest:
There will be a total lunar(moon) eclipse in Malaysia on June 16, 2011.
The eclipse will start at 1:25 a.m. until 7:01 a.m.
On the 16th of June 2011, we will be able to observe a total lunar eclipse starting from 1:25 a.m. to 7:01 a.m. In conjunction with Total Lunar Eclipse, National Space Agency (ANGKASA) and National Mosque will be organizing a Total Lunar Eclipse Observation Program at the Main Entrance of National Mosque (nearby the expo site) on 16 June 2011 from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Public are invited to observe the phenomena through a few of telescopes that will be setup during the event. You also can bring your own telescope in this program.
The first 1000 visitors attending the program will be given a tin of Eclipse Mints, contribution by The Wrigley Company (M) Sdn. Bhd.
The tentative program is shown below:

Emoden was an alien from Pluto. Kamosa, Goplaga, Hilama, Meido and Emoden became friends. Meido invited Kamosa and all his other friends to visit Earth. Anyway, only Kamosa and Emoden agreed to go with him.
Kamosa's spaceship was about to land on Earth.
On Earth, they met three new friends named Qoyris, Clara and Insyirah.
Inshirah is at the right, Clara is in the middle and Qoyris is at the left.
Qoyris gave Kamosa the ‘4 Players Chess’ set that Kamosa left on Saturn.
Qoyris was very, very happy to get a '4 players chess' set.
Qoyris found it the last time he went to Saturn. Anyway, Kamosa gave the ‘4 Players Chess’ set to Qoyris because he already had another set that Goplaga gave for his birthday. Qoyris was very, very happy.
Qoyris said that he came from Saudi Arabia. One day, he went to Calovinia for a holiday. But when he wanted to go back to Saudi Arabia, he forgot where the airport was. So he was stuck in Calovinia until he built a spaceship and became an astronaut.
Clara came from England and Insyirah was from Riyadh but they traveled to a lot of places because they were astronauts too.
The next day Kamosa went back to Jupiter to meet his family. Anyway Emoden stayed on Earth and he met a lot of new friends.
Goplaga, Hilama and Meido prepared a surprise birthday party for Kamosa. Meidowas Kamosa’s human friend who flew Kamosa’s spaceship from planet Earth to Saturn.
Meido
Kamosa was very happy. His friends gave him lots of presents. Meido gave Kamosa an Alienware laptop, an i Phone 4 and an i Pad. Hilama gave Kamosa a computer mouse, a CPU, a computer monitor and a computer speaker. Goplaga gave Kamosa a 4 players chess set, a house, an Adobe Photoshop CS4 CD, an ‘Age of Empires 3‘ CD and a ‘Halo Wars’ CD.
After the birthday party Kamosa, Meido, Hilama, and Goplaga played the 4 players chess together. Meido won the game! Then, Meido decided to go to Pluto. Kamosa agreed and they all flew to Pluto in Kamosa’s spaceship.
On the way to Pluto, Goplaga saw a bunch of big noodles falling onto Pluto. But Hilama said that it was a giant piece of meat and Kamosa said that it were flying pepperonis.Meido said it was a spaceship flying to Pluto.
And Meido was right, it was a spaceship! The spaceship landed on Pluto.
Kamosa's spaceship and the spaceship that looks like meat, pepperonis and noodles.
When they arrived on Pluto, they met another alien friend named Emoden. Emoden had 2 eyes, 1 nose, 1 mouth, 2 hands and 2 legs. It was Emoden’s spaceship that looked like a giant meat, pepperonis and noodles.
It was Kamosa’s spaceship! Kamosa left it on planet Earth the last time he went to Earth to visit his friends. Kamosa met Goplaga on planet Earth. Goplaga invited Kamosa to fly in his spaceship to Saturn. Then Kamosa’s human friends sent Kamosa’s spaceship from Earth to Saturn.
Kamosa's spaceship flying to Neptune from Saturn.
Kamosa invited Goplaga for a trip to Neptune. Over there Goplaga and Kamosa met the Neptune alien named Hilama. Hilama has two purple wings, light blue face and one red eye.
Hilama, the alien from Neptune.
Kamosa wanted to play the ‘4 players chess’, but Kamosa left the cheess set in Goplaga’s room on Saturn. Kamosa was very sad…
Goplaga heard his iPhone ringing.
The next day, Goplaga’siPhone reminded him of Kamosa’s birthday. When Goplaga heard the reminder ringing, Goplaga rushed to Alien Express and bought another ‘4 players chess’ set.
One day the alien Kamosa saw an alien from Saturn named Goplaga. Kamosa was an alien from Jupiter. The aliens from Saturn have 1000 tiny eyes, 300 feet and 10000 hands.
Left: Goplaga (the alien from Saturn). Right: A tree from Saturn. (Please click for a larger picture)
Goplaga invited Kamosa to visit Saturn. It was cold in Saturn and there were lots of blue purple trees. The aliens in Saturn were born from the trees.
Over there, Kamosa played 4 player chess withGoplaga. Goplaga controlled the blue and red pieces while Kamosa controlled the black and white pieces. When Kamosa and Goplaga finished playing chess, they heard a sound of a spaceship.
They saw a spaceship. (Click for a larger picture)
They went out and saw a spaceship from Planet Earth!
They have no nose, no eyes and no mouth. They only have one foot and one hand. They can jump but not high. The aliens can’t jump high because the force of gravity in Jupiter is strong. They can only walk.
One day, the aliens visited the planet Earth. They helped the people to do their works. When the aliens went back to Jupiter, some people followed the aliens 🙂
Then they played ‘4 players chess’ with an alien named Kamosa.
But when a person wanted to jump because he won the chess game, he can’t jump.
