Google Street View Comes To Malaysia

Do you like the idea of exploring the streets in Malaysia from your computers?

Now we can, but it will take a while until we can explore all the streets in Malaysia because Google Malaysia’s crews are still taking photos of the streets in Malaysia.

However, there are 18 locations that could now be explored using the street view made by Google Maps.

– Sri Subramaniam Temple, Batu Caves

– Masjid Sultan Sallahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Shah Alam

– Taman Tasik Titiwangsa

– Fort Cornwallis, Penang

Dharmikarama Burmese Temple, Georgetown, Penang

Kapitan Keling Mosque, Penang

– Penang War Museum

– Taman Putra Perdana, Putrajaya

– Taman Rimba Riang Park, Selangor

– Taman Tasik Shah Alam, Selangor

– Sunway Lagoon

– Shah Alam Go Kart

– Taman Desa Water Park

– Taman Rimba Kiara

– Taman Botanical Kepong

– Taman Tasik Kepong Metropolitan

– Desa Park City

– Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir

Those places can be explored using the classic Google Maps, or the new Google Maps.

It will be fun to see the car with the camera that Google use to collect all the photos for Google Street View.

Anyway, if you don’t want your house to be seen on the Street View, you can contact Google.

Have fun using Street View!

Here is the video of the launching of Street View feature in Malaysia.

Thank You To Jackie And WordPress

I want to thank Jackie from WordPress for returning my blog, Ahmad Ali Karim’s Weblog that was deactivated for 3 days. I am a serious blogger and I have tried to work very hard to make my blog a successful site. On February 2, 2013, I was shocked to see a malware alert on my blog.

I was really upset and scared and I really did not know what to do. With the help of my family members, our friends and my wonderful blogger friends, we tried to solve the problem but it only got worse. Then my blog was blocked and I could not write any new post which made me really, really sad.

Again my the help of my family I tried to solve the problem but it only got worse until my blog was deactivated and I could not even read my post anymore. I was very, very sad because I was so scared that I might lost all the posts that I wrote since the past five years.

My blog means so much to me because it is a compilation of my works and ideas since I started blogging when I was five years old and how I learn to be a better writer year after year; and it is a part of my learning and growing up process. I wrote about what is important to me including good values and world news that I think important and that I want to keep for my future references.

Then Jackie wrote to us and explained that my blog was deactivated due to the US law, and told us that WordPress found out about my age when they tried to help me with my problems. My parents and I did not know that in accordance with US law and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, WordPress needs parental notification in order to allow me to have my own website on because I am child under thirteen years old. My blog was available just a short time after my father wrote to WordPress, granting his permission for me to blog on WordPress.com..

Now I am really thankful and happy to get back my blog and to be able to write new posts. I want to thank Jackie and WordPress for being very supportive and I am very glad that I blog on WordPress.  But the malware alert in Google Chrome is still not yet solved. I’m going to follow Jackie’s advice to contact Google and try to solve this problem and I hope that my problems will be solved as soon as possible.

I need to work harder now to get the traffic back to my blog as it used to be before these problems started a month ago. Meanwhile, I’m going to try the custom design and with that I’ll be able to learn lots of interesting things about blog designing. I’m looking forward to learn CSS coding to design my blog and I hope that I can make my blog a better site.

Congratulations WordPress for protecting the children’s right and privacy by enforcing the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and for being very supportive to kid bloggers like me and thanks to Jackie for being so wonderful to me.

Actress Cindy Lee Garcia Sues Producer Of ‘Innocence Of Muslims’

Cindy Lee Garcia (AP)

Actress Cindy Lee Garcia who acted in the film, ‘Innocence of Muslims’ sues the film producer for fraud and slander.

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula alias Sam Bacile is reported to be the producer.

She also named Google Inc and its YouTube unit as defendants, asked that the film be removed from YouTube and said her right to privacy had been violated.

The suit accuses Nakoula, Google and YouTube of invasion of privacy, unfair business practices, the use of Garcia’s likeness without permission and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

“This lawsuit is not an attack on the First Amendment nor on the right for Americans to say what they think, but does request that the offending content be removed from the Internet,” the lawsuit said.

Does the producer’s freedom of expression gives him the right to use and cheat the actress in expressing his freedom of speech?

And what about the rights of actress Cindy Lee Garcia?

I really pity the actress if she really was cheated by the producer.

And why did Sam Bacile cheated the actress if he thinks that it is okay to produce the “hateful” film?

I agree with the U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon that freedom of expression should not be abused to provoke or humiliate some others’ values and beliefs.

The world will be a better place to live in if every body can try to be a better person and respect people around us.

Today Internet Goes On Strike

Today internet companies are protesting against SOPA  and PIPA.

SOPA is short for the “Stop Online Piracy Act,” and PIPA is an acronym for the “Protect IP Act”.

To know more about this, >>>please click here<<<

I do not agree with the new rules because there will be too much things that we cannot do on the internet.

Here are some companies that shows that they do not agree with SOPA and PIPA:

Sir Isaac Newton’s Birthday

Today is Sir Isaac Newton’s birthday.

He was born in England on 4 January 1643 (1643-01-04).

Sir Isaac Newton is the person who discovered gravity.

He discovered gravity when he was sitting under an apple tree.

After that an apple felt on his head.

Then he started to think what made the apple falls on his head.

I think Sir Isaac Newton is very, very, very clever.

Sesame Street started on 10/11/1969.

I love to watch Sesame Street.

I did not know that the show had started so long ago.

I knew about the anniversary when I saw Cookie Monster’s on Google on 5/11/2009.

At first I thought that the anniversary was on 5/11/2009 but when I checked the Wikipedia it says that the show started on 5/11/1969. I forgot I had written before here

Anyway I think that the picture of Cookie Monster on Google was so cute 😀

Do you know that Cookie Monster loves cookies very much?
