My Lucky Day

On Saturday 27/3/2010, I went to an Esso–Mobil petrol station’s carnival.

Last time Esso and Mobil are different companies.

The petrol station is between KPJ Ampang Puteri Hospital and Flamingo Hotel in Jalan Ampang.

There were lucky draws, free balloons, foods, drinks, a clown, colouring contest and others at the carnival.

My father bought a Mobil 1 motor oil and I get a white Porsche Boxster Collecters Series free.

I got three balloons.

And we won a BIG hamper from the lucky draw!

Then we went to a wedding in Petaling  Jaya.

Over there I met the Chief Minister (Menteri Besar) of Selangor.

His name is Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

He is from PKR or Parti Keadilan Rakyat.

Khalifah Institute Dinner and Talk

On 25/7/09 2 Syaaban 1430 I went to  Khalifah Institute Dinner and Talk at Grand Ballroom, Flamingo Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Bro Idris Tawfiq give a talk entitled From the Vatican to Al-Azhar. Bro Tawfiq is a British Muslim writer who now lives in Egypt.

He was a Roman Catholic priest for 20 years.

For many years he was Head of Religious Studies in different schools in England and Wales.

There were lots of people at the Flamingo Hotel.

I reached home at 1:00 AM.

My father’s car broke down and we have to walk back home.

I slept at 2:30 AM.

I think there are going to be more ‘Dinner and Talk’ in the future.
