Angus James could not believe what he was seeing as he opened the mouth of the jungle perch he had just caught.

Can you guess what he saw?

Angus James snapped the above photo moments before the frog jumped out from the fish.

So Much To Learn From Two Little Frogs

NaPoWriMo Poem #13: Slow Fishes

Slow fishes are very slow,
They have lots of big quests,
They are not expert like others,
But they respect the rest.

The other fishes swim well,
But they are too cocky,
Vain, malice and spiteful,
Indeed they are unlucky

Fishing for a living fossil?

Reuters reported that a type of fish named arapaima or pirarucu is considered by biologists to be a living fossil.

Arapaima is the largest freshwater fish species in South America and one of the largest in the world,

Catching the arapaima, a fish that is sought after for its meat, is only allowed once a year by Brazil’s environmental protection agency.

The minimum size allowed for a fisherman to keep an arapaima is 1.5 meters.

Kerepok Lekor Recipe In Photos

On Saturday, my mother made kerepok lekor.

Kerepok lekor is a special food from Kuala Terangganu.

Kuala Terengganu is my parent’s hometown.

In Kuala Lumpur people do not sell fresh kerepok lekor.

So if we want to eat fresh kerepok lekor, we have to make them ourselves.

What we need to make kerepok lekor:

  • A bowl of fish.

  • A bowl of sago.

A bowl of sago
  • Some water.

  • Salt.

How to make kerepok lekor:

  1. First blend the fish without the bones.

    Blend the fish
  2. Mix the fish, sago and salt.

  3. Shape them so they become long cylinders.

    Shape them
  4. Boil them until cooked.

Tadaa! Here is my mother's tasty kerepok lekor!

Note: I snapped all of the photos above (except the last one) myself 🙂

Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir (Ampang Hilir Lake Garden)

Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir means Ampang Hilir Lake Garden.

It is near my house in Ampang.

The park is very beautiful.

There is big lake in the middle of the park.

And there are a lot of fishes in the lake.

There is a jogging path around the lake.

I always jog over there.

We have to go there early in the morning before it gets too hot.

I like to jog because it is fun.

After jogging I would play at the playground.

Playing at the playground is fun too :)

On Thursday my father bought me a pair of jogging shoes.

It is another present for my birthday :)

I can’t wait to jog in my new shoes.

Actually my old shoes were already too tight.
