Earthquake Strikes California Coast

A 6.5 earthquake stuck off coast of Northern California, 33 miles from Eureka and 22 miles from Ferndale.

It happened on Saturday at 4:27 pm PST or 7:27 pm ET.

PST means Pacific Standard Time.

ET means Eastern Time.

The earthquake shook buildings, broke windows, glasses and plates, caused water, gas and sewer leak.

In Eureka some traffic lights fell down.

Some television sets and shelves also fell down.

Some refrigerators moved during the earthquake.

Anyway no building had collapsed.

There is no serious injury reported so far.

Anyway there are a lot of debris and broken glasses all around.

Some places are without electricity and water.

A lot of earthquakes happened in California.

Earthquake is a disaster.

Last week three countries were hit by earthquakes and caused a tsunami in Solomon Islands.

I think we must keep our important things in a safe place.

Important things are like :

  1. Plates

  2. Fire extinguisher

  3. Food

  4. Computer
