Photos: Rainbow River, The River of Five Colours

Photographer Olivier Grunewald has taken wonderful photos of the beautiful ‘Rainbow River’.

The Cano Cristales is a small river of five colours that attracts tourists around the world to Colombia every year.

During the summer months, colourful plants blossom under the surface to transform the waters into the ‘river of five colours’.

The small, beautiful river located in the Macarena National Park is also known as ‘El rio mas bonito del Mundo’, the ‘Rainbow River’ and the ‘Escape from Paradise’ to the locals.

On Monday a Boeing 737 plane crash landed in San Andres Island, Colombia.

1 person died and 6 were seriously injured.

The plane crashed in a thunderstorm at 1:49 am.

It slided on the runway and broke apart.

The report says that the pilot’s name is Wilson Gutierrez.

He is a great pilot because he can stop the plane from hitting the airport.

If the plane hit the airport, more people will be killed.

It will then be a bigger disaster.

People don’t know if the aeroplane was hit by a lightning or a gust of wind.

And firefighters had stopped the beginning of fire on a wing.

It is the opposite when everybody in the Pakistani plane crash were killed.

Powerful Earthquake Struck Chile

Another major earthquake happened  just after a 7.0 earthquake hit Okinawa.

A magnitude 8.8 earthquake hit central Chile early Saturday.

Chile is in South America.

At least 6 people were killed.

This is a very powerful earthquake.

May be more people were killed.

The earthquake was located near the city of Concepcion.

Concepcion is the second largest city in Chile.

The city is 212 miles (341km) from capital Santiago.

The earthquake struck at 3:34 am (1:34am ET).

There are reports of collapsed building in Santiago.

So far CNN has not reported the destruction in Conception.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami warning for Chile and Peru.

Tsunami watch has been issued for Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica.

The center recorded a tsunami wave as high as 9 feet.

According to USGS the largest earthquake in the world was recorded in Chile.

It happened on May 22, 1960 with a magnitude of 9.5 killing 1665 people.

This is a real disaster and I am very sad to learn about this news.

I hope that we can stop the earthquakes.
