In Video: Cats vs Cucumbers

I watch this video on Huffingtonpost.

It’s funny but I feel bad for enjoying something naughty like scaring poor cats.

Anyway, I just wonder why the cats are scared of cucumbers and if all cats will react that way; but of course I’m not going to try it.

Who Took My Tea, A Poem By Ahmad Ali karim

My big sister,
Made some tea,
In a mug,
Just for me,

I took a sip, and,
Put down the mug,
And gave my mom,
A big bear hug.

I picked the mug,
To finish my tea,
But its empty!
Nothing I can see.

I looked around,
And heard a meow,
I saw my kitten,
It’s confirmed now.

I picked her up,
And took it out,
It drank my tea,
Without any doubt.

Naughty Black Cat, A Poem By Ahmad Ali Karim

A naughty black cat,
Walking down a lane,
It saw a white cat,
Whose name was Little Jane,

Little Jane had thick fur,
And very fluffy too,
In its mouth was a fish,
Which it was just about to chew.

The black cat was hungry,
It wanted the fish,
It pounced on Little Jane,
And ate its fish with a swish.

Martin’s Birthday

Last summer, Martin was building a big house in a very peaceful town named Boomland for a businessman named Keith. Keith planned to sell the house once it was built.

It was a breezy Saturday and they were almost finished. Martin was on a ladder, painting the porch while singing a nice sentimental song. He was holding a paint bucket in one arm, and trying very hard not to drop it.

A week after it was ready, Keith invited Martin to visit the house. It looked so grand for it is big and it was decorate with nice furniture. There was an old fashioned pond with a tortoise in the garden with beautiful, snow white flowers around it. So, Martin decided to buy the house as it was so beautiful and he planned to grow apple trees around the house.

The next day, when Martin’s staffs, Lloyd, Peter, and Doyle visited his new house, Martin told them about a new house that Keith wanted them to build beside his house. They would start building it on Wednesday and they only had three more days to plan.

Martin said goodbye to his staffs as they left his house. Suddenly he saw a kitten walking to his house. It was a cute little black and white kitten, with beautiful, glowing green eyes.

He looked at it, wondering what should he do. He walked softly to the cat and the cat looked afraid. Martin gently stroked the cat and it purred softly as it knew that Martin was not going to cause any harm.

The kitten’s mother came by. It brushed itself against the gate, looking at Martin. Martin looked softly at the big, black female cat as it walked towards its kitten. He was wondering whether the big cat was ferocious. The big cat came to Martin, purring till Martin could feel its throat vibrating softly. Suddenly it jumped up and ran away.

Martin looked around him, wondering what had scared the big cat. He even looked at the sky but all that he could see was grey puffy clouds which meant that it was going to rain.

Then his phone rang and he answered it, “Hello”.

“Hi Martin!” said the man at the other end. It was his staff, Peter.

“Keith is calling a meeting tomorrow to discuss about the house that we’re going to build. It will be at ten o’clock in the morning.”

“I’ll be there. Thanks for the information!” answered Martin.

He clicked the little red button on his phone and he went inside. The raindrops had started to fall and the little cat had walked away. Suddenly he felt so lonely.

“So, I can’t celebrate my birthday tomorrow,” said Martin to himself in a sad voice. “Oh well, may be I could celebrate it after the meeting.”

He woke up early the next day. He remembered very well that it was his birthday. He wore a plain white shirt and a black jacket which made him look grand. He put on his black neck tie and then he went downstairs.

He took his car keys and drove to his office. He arrived there in just about five minutes. He went inside. The office was dark and he wondered if  he was too early. He sat down for a moment, and then he walked to the meeting room to get things ready. He opened the door of the meeting room and saw that everything was ready for the meeting. The projector screen was set and the projector was on the table. The chairs were arranged and the curtains were opened.

He wondered aloud, “Where is everybody?”

As he walked into the meeting room, the lights were switched on and confetti started to fall.

“Happy birthday, Martin!” everyone shouted.

It was a surprise birthday party! Martin was very happy to celebrate his birthday with his friends. The projector was set to play a movie that Martin had always wanted to watch but was too busy to go to the cinema to watch it.

I love to watch animals playing and being friends with other animals.

I think people must learn from animals and stop fighting with each other 😉

Even animals can make friends with other animals, so it is very sad to see humans hurting and killing each other everyday.

I know one cat who loves to ‘talk’ with crows.

It’s name is Primiligh and it’ll make birdlike meows when it meows to the birds (that’s what my sister always says).

So here are cute pictures of animals being friends with other animals.

Visla The Cat, A Story By Ahmad Ali Karim (Part 3)

Visla was proud of her new friend. She thanked the cat for helping her. Ahmad came out to check what had happened. He saw Visla’s new friend chasing the mean black cat away. Ahmad took out some milk for Visla and its new friend and played with them.

A few weeks later, Karim went out station to Kedah. Karim took Ahmad along with him. Karim’s eldest daughter, Aiman was on holidays, so she was assigned to take care of the cats. Aiman loved the cats too but Visla missed Ahmad. Visla was very lonely and felt all alone without its friend, Ahmad.

On the day Ahmad came home, Visla was not around the house. Everybody searched for Visla but could not find it. Ahmad searched around the neighbourhood and at last he saw Visla sitting on the roof of his house. He asked his father for a ladder but the ladder was not high enough to reach the roof. Ahmad called Visla down, holding a cup of milk, but Visla was too frightened to come down.

Then it started to rain, and Ahmad was really worried about Visla. He tried to think of the best way to help Visla to come down from the roof. Ahmad knew that Visla loved its kittens very much, so he took one of the kittens from their box and held it up toward the roof so that Visla could see the kitten and hear its meow. The kitten meowed but Visla did not even move from where it sat.

Ahmad took the kitten back to its box. All of the kittens were meowing calling for their mother. “They must be very hungry,” thought Ahmad. Ahmad was about to go to the fridge to get some milk for the kittens when he heard a sweet meow from behind him. It was Visla! Brushing her head at the door, Visla meowed at Ahmad happily. Visla then jumped into its box and licked its kittens. Ahmad was happy to see Visla again, and so did the kittens. And Visla was very happy to see Ahmad too.

Visla The Cat, A Story By Ahmad Ali Karim (Part 2)

Please here click for Chapter 1:

After a few months, things was much better for Visla at the new neighbourhood. Visla became friends with all the nice cats, Kompa, Vantol, Sinta, Arda and Tankra. They even managed to chase away the bad cats from the neighbourhood.

Karim and his children would play with the cats everyday. One fine day Visla had its first six kittens, Stripsla, Gamfna, Kalarta, Softna, Ivosale and Kontv. Visla was a very good mother. It took good care of the kittens and guarded them from the other cats. But actually Ahmad was the one who guarded the kittens more seriously than Visla.

One afternoon, Visla went out for a walk, leaving the little kittens in their box. After a while Visla reached a house that seemed to be empty. Visla walked in and saw empty rooms after empty rooms in the quiet house. It was a huge house with lots and lots of big rooms. Visla continued to  explore the house until suddenly it saw a shadow.  Visla was very scared and was about to run away when it saw a grey cat at the door.

The cat lived in the house. It was a very nice and kind cat. The cat invited Visla to stay in the house for a few days. Visla liked the idea of an adventure at a new place but Visla was worried about its kittens. Visla was scared if the cat would eat its kittens.

Anyway, on the way home to Karim’s house, Visla made the decision to spend a few nights at the huge house. Ahmad was hanging the clothes in the backyard when Visla started to move her kittens to the huge house. Ahmad wondered what was Visla doing. He soon found out that Visla had moved to another place.

Ahmad was very sad. He thought that Vista moved away because it was upset that he played with the kittens too often. The next day, Ahmad stood at the kitchen door. He thought about Visla and the cute and lovely kittens; wondering where were they and if they were alright.

Then he saw Visla walking towards to his house. Ahmad was happy and he rushed to the fridge to get some milk for Vista. He took out the milk and found out that Visla had moved all of its kittens back to his house. So Ahmad played with Visla and its kittens.

Moments after Ahmad went back into the house, a huge ferocious, black cat came into the backyard and drank Visla’s milk. Visla’s friends tried to help but the mean big cat chased them away. Visla bravely attacked the big cat. At that moment, Visla’s new friend from the huge, empty house arrived. It was a very brave and strong cat and it helped Visla to chase the mean cat away.

Visla The Cat, A Story By Ahmad Ali Karim

One rainy day, a man named Karim went out of his house wearing his raincoat. He ran to his car and drove to a nearby supermarket. On the way, he saw a wet, peach coloured little kitten crouching down in the middle of the road. He stopped his car by the roadside and went out to save the frightened little kitten before it was hit by a car.

He then took the kitten home. He dried the kitten and gave it some milk. After it had stopped raining, Karim let the kitten go home to it’s family. Anyway the next day, the kitten went back to Karim’s house. Karim’s children played with the cute kitten and named it Jaharta. Jaharta became their pet and they loved it very, very much.

Years later, Karim’s kids were already teenagers and the eldest was off to the university. Jaharta had kids, Kalok, Visla, Untah and Nathuz. Kalok loved to go inside the house, Visla liked to stay outside, Untah explored the neighbourhood a lot and Nathuz would explore inside Karim’s house whenever it had the chance.

One fine day, Karim moved to another house. All of the cats but Visla did not want to get inside the car with Karim’s family. So, only Visla moved to Karim’s new house. Visla loved Karim’s new home but a lot of the cats in the neighbourhood did not like Visla around. Anyway there are a few that became friends with Visla.

So the two groups of cats always fought whenever they met. Karim’s son, Ahmad always went out to stop the fights and chased the other cats away from their backyard.
