Please help me to get this message to UNESCO or United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation.
I hope that UNESCO and everybody who can help me, please save a historical building in Jalan Bandar, Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia because the government of Terengganu is going to demolish the beautiful, historical building very soon.
The government must not demolish the building because:
Kids cannot see the historical building if it is not there anymore. Kids should see historical buildings because they can learn history.
The building is still strong and beautiful. The quality of the building is very good because it can stand for more than 1oo years.
If we demolish the historical building, the historical building is gone.
We waste bricks and money when we demolish the beautiful and strong building.
There will be rubbish everywhere and the drain can be blocked by rubbish. It will cause a flood. A flood is a disaster.
Demolishing a building also cause air pollution.
My grandmother’s bookshop , Alam Akademik is in the building.
Alam is more than 100 years old. Akademik
I love the bookshop because it is so beautiful and there are lots of books.
I think the government should build new buildings on empty lands and take care of the historical building.
We can paint the building to make it more beautiful and shinny.
Please save this historical building.
Please save my grandmother’s bookshop!
The bookshop’s name is Alam Akademik Sdn Bhd.
Alam Akademik Sdn Bhd is the oldest bookshop in Terengganu.
The bookshop has been at the same location for a hundred years!
Yesterday they sent a letter telling my grandmother to move away in 30 days from July 13 2009.
The Terengganu government is going to demolish the whole historic building!
It is going to be another disaster!
Terengganu had lost a lot of historic buildings and landmark.
And they are going to demolish another historic building.
From old photo during flooding. X - already demolished. Arrow - going to demolish
My grandmother is very sad.
And I am very sad too ……
So please, please help save my grandmother’s bookshop!
If I can go to the United Nations meeting, I am going to tell the world to save all the historic buildings and landmarks!
Old and historic - more 100 years old
On the 2nd day in Kuala Terengganu I played TTHPE
TTHPE means ‘The Treasure Hunt People Edition’.
Next I played ‘Helicopter Ride’.
My mother cooked tom yam for lunch.
It was very delicious.
After lunch I played TTHPSE.
TTHPSE means ‘The Treasure Hunt People Subtract Edition’.
At 8.30pm we celebrated my birthday together with my Nenek’s bookshop’s staffs.
We ate tasty nasi minyak with beef and chicken.
Everybody sang the birthday song for me 🙂 🙂 🙂
After dinner we had a meeting with Nenek’s staffs.
I helped my father to play the PowerPoint presentation during the meeting.
Before I went to bed I ate nasi minyak again.
I was very happy and it was late when I went to bed.
