Five Years of Blogging with WordPress

You registered on WordPress.com 5 years ago!

Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging!

  🙂 🙂 🙂

This was what I first wrote after my father gave his permission to start my own blog:

Welcome To My Blog

Hello, my name is Ahmad Ali Karim.

Welcome to my blog.

I love to write and I started to write stories when I was 3 years old.

Now I am 5 years old and I am very happy to start my own blog.

  🙂 🙂 🙂

I was very excited to receive this note from WordPress.com yesterday! I started this blog when I was five years old, five years ago and over the years I learn lots of things about writing, reporting and blogging.

One of my worst experience in blogging is when I cannot open my blog after it was hacked for a month.

I was so sad and scared and fear that I’ll loose my blog.

But thanks to the wonderful people at WordPress.com, at last my problem is solved.

And thank you very for my wonderful cyber friends who had sent me messages and tried to help me solve the problem.

Thank you for visiting my blog and my very special thanks to all my loyal readers who had become my special friends.

  🙂 🙂 🙂

Slide1

I wrote simple posts about things that I like, my favourite fruits and what happens around me.

🙂 🙂 🙂

Slide2

Uncle Awang Goneng is one of my favourite writers and inspired me to start my own blog.

🙂 🙂 🙂

Slide3

This is the first time I met Anwar Ibrahim, the politician who inspired me to become a politician. I was a very big fan of Anwar at the time.  Anyway I lost my respect for him after Bersih 3.0.

🙂 🙂 🙂

Presentation1

I started attending lots of programs and discourses. At home I read the news to know about what is happening, not only in Malaysia but also in the other part of the world.

🙂 🙂 🙂

Slide5

I first met Uncle Nasha at his daughter’s wedding celebration and asked him why he does not leave PAS.

🙂 🙂 🙂

Uncle Zul is a lawyer and one of my favourite politicians. Like me, he was also one of Anwar’s fan before he realised the truth.

Thank You To Jackie And WordPress

I want to thank Jackie from WordPress for returning my blog, Ahmad Ali Karim’s Weblog that was deactivated for 3 days. I am a serious blogger and I have tried to work very hard to make my blog a successful site. On February 2, 2013, I was shocked to see a malware alert on my blog.

I was really upset and scared and I really did not know what to do. With the help of my family members, our friends and my wonderful blogger friends, we tried to solve the problem but it only got worse. Then my blog was blocked and I could not write any new post which made me really, really sad.

Again my the help of my family I tried to solve the problem but it only got worse until my blog was deactivated and I could not even read my post anymore. I was very, very sad because I was so scared that I might lost all the posts that I wrote since the past five years.

My blog means so much to me because it is a compilation of my works and ideas since I started blogging when I was five years old and how I learn to be a better writer year after year; and it is a part of my learning and growing up process. I wrote about what is important to me including good values and world news that I think important and that I want to keep for my future references.

Then Jackie wrote to us and explained that my blog was deactivated due to the US law, and told us that WordPress found out about my age when they tried to help me with my problems. My parents and I did not know that in accordance with US law and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, WordPress needs parental notification in order to allow me to have my own website on because I am child under thirteen years old. My blog was available just a short time after my father wrote to WordPress, granting his permission for me to blog on WordPress.com..

Now I am really thankful and happy to get back my blog and to be able to write new posts. I want to thank Jackie and WordPress for being very supportive and I am very glad that I blog on WordPress.  But the malware alert in Google Chrome is still not yet solved. I’m going to follow Jackie’s advice to contact Google and try to solve this problem and I hope that my problems will be solved as soon as possible.

I need to work harder now to get the traffic back to my blog as it used to be before these problems started a month ago. Meanwhile, I’m going to try the custom design and with that I’ll be able to learn lots of interesting things about blog designing. I’m looking forward to learn CSS coding to design my blog and I hope that I can make my blog a better site.

Congratulations WordPress for protecting the children’s right and privacy by enforcing the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and for being very supportive to kid bloggers like me and thanks to Jackie for being so wonderful to me.

Having Tea With Uncle Awang Goneng at My House

Yesterday Uncle Awang Goneng came to my house for tea.

My mother cooked clam chowder and chili con carne.

I ate them with French loaf and butter.

I told Uncle Awang Goneng about my latest poem.

Its name is ‘Light In The Night’.

I’ll write the poem in another post 🙂

I showed Uncle Awang Goneng some posts from my blog.

I wanted to show him the pictures for The Goat Poem’ 🙂

I drew them using Microsoft Paint.

Then we prayed Asr together.

I am very happy to meet Uncle Awang Goneng.

I hope Uncle Awang Goneng will come again to house because it is fun to talk to him and he knows so much about writing poems 🙂

He has his own popular blog – Kecek-kecek

My Picture In The Newspapers

Yesterday there was a picture of my mother, sisters and me in The Star and Utusan Malaysia.

Solar Eclipse - The Star 23July09

The pictures were taken at the beach near the Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque, Kuala Terengganu.

We went there to watch the solar eclipse on the 22nd of July 2009.

There were a lot of people from the newspapers.

They took lots of photos and asked me questions.

I don’t  know that they want to put my picture in the newspaper.

So when my father showed me the pictures in the newspapers, I was really surprised!

And I was very, very  happy 🙂

I called my grandmother and she told me that she saw my picture in the Star in Malaysia Hari Ini or MHI.

I read a story about me and my blog in the Utusan Malaysia!

I also saw the articles and photos in the Utusan Malaysia and the Star Online.

Thank you for writing about me.

Enjoying English At SMK Sultan Mansor (SMKSM)

Last Thursday I went to SMKSM for Enjoying English program.

SMKSM means Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Mansor.

I met my father’s friend, Teacher Yasmin at the school.

Teacher Yasmin was my father’s schoolmate.

They used to study in Sultan Sulaiman Secondary School.

Now Teacher Yasmin is an English teacher at SMKSM.

I always enjoyed participating in the program because I like giving speeches.

Before we end the program my sisters and I sang the Khalifah song and Guantanamera.

I hope to see my pictures in my blog again 🙂

I hope somebody can help me.

ali-tocubee-auntemy2

It was yummy but too hot and spicy.

Uncle Azahar is a vet or animal doctor.

He knows a lot about animals  just like Diego 🙂

Uncle  Syed Mohd Zaid works as a Malaysian Airlines pilot.uncle-syedzaid

He explained what made the FeDex cargo plane crashed and exploded into a fireball in Tokyo Narita Airport.

Very strong wind made the plane cannot land properly and the plane tilt.

The wing touched the runway and the fuel from the plane made the plane exploded.

Uncle Syed Mohd Zaid said that it is one of the dangers in landing a plane and it can happen even to a good pilot.

I think that was like a bloggers meeting 🙂
