Light In The Night

Light In The Nightï»ż

We are searching for a light,

In the night,

But somebody saw a star,

From the car.

Last Saturday night we had dinner at ‘Ayam Penyet’ Restaurant in Wangsa Walk with Aunty Selina.

On the way home we were looking at the full moon.

Suddenly I got an idea to write this poem 🙂

I told Uncle Awang Goneng about this when he came for tea at my house 😉

Having Tea With Uncle Awang Goneng at My House

Yesterday Uncle Awang Goneng came to my house for tea.

My mother cooked clam chowder and chili con carne.

I ate them with French loaf and butter.

I told Uncle Awang Goneng about my latest poem.

Its name is ‘Light In The Night’.

I’ll write the poem in another post 🙂

I showed Uncle Awang Goneng some posts from my blog.

I wanted to show him the pictures for The Goat Poem’ 🙂

I drew them using Microsoft Paint.

Then we prayed Asr together.

I am very happy to meet Uncle Awang Goneng.

I hope Uncle Awang Goneng will come again to house because it is fun to talk to him and he knows so much about writing poems 🙂

He has his own popular blog – Kecek-kecek

Meeting Uncle Awang Goneng

Today I went to A&W in KLCC to meet Uncle Awang Goneng.

His real name is Wan Ahmad Hulaimi.

Uncle Awang Goneng is a great writer.

He is also a famous blogger.

His blog is very popular.

The book ‘Growing Up In Trengganu’ is from the blog.

His blog is http://kecek-kecek.blogspot.com/.

Uncle Awang Goneng lives in London.

I wonder why Uncle Awang Goneng lives in London?

Uncle Awang Goneng will go back to London at the end of January.

By the way I met Pak Cik Saidi Yahya too 🙂

My father, Pak Cik Saidi and Uncle Awang Goneng are from Terengganu.

They spoke English and ‘Trengganuspeak’.

I only understand some words in ‘Trengganuspeak’ 🙂

I am very happy to meet them today.

A Program About The Writing Mind With Awang Goneng

On the 12th August 2009 I went to Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to attend Awang Goneng‘s workshop about writing.

AG - workshop

Awang Goneng‘s real name is Wan Ahmad Hulaimi bin Mohd Ali.

Uncle  Hulaimi taught us a breathing exercise.

First we stand  up, then take a deep breath and then shake our hands like Michael Jackson.

I also learnt about palindrome.

Palindrome is something  that sounds the same if we read it from the right or the left.

For example, ‘Madam, I’m Adam‘.

But I forgot to ask Uncle Hulaimi if ‘masam’ is a palindrome.

‘Masam’ means sour.

Uncle Hulaimi said that we must  always use a dictionary.

Uncle Hulaimi wrote my name as Mohd Ali but my name is Ahmad Ali 🙂

12082009(028)

I think it was because his father’s name  was Mohd Ali.

I enjoyed myself  very much and I am very happy to meet Uncle Hulaimi again.

We sold lots and lots of AG‘s book,’Growing Up In Terenganu‘or ‘GUIT‘ at Alam Akademik Sdn Bhd in Kuala Terengganu.

A Moment With English – Enjoying English

On 3 /5 / 09 I took part in a program at Sekolah Kebangsaan Padang Hiliran (SKPH).

I read an article from my blog entitled the Swine Flu.

My big sister Kaman gave a speech about “The Creation Of Universe”.

Kaman also did a book reading.

She read ‘Budu Spell’ from a book ‘Growing Up In Terengganu’ by Awang Goneng.

My big sister Kashah did a story telling about a girl named Jannah.

My big sister Kafah sang a song about butterfly.ali-khalifahsong-skph

We sang two songs.

First was the ‘Khalifah Song’ and the next song was ‘Guantanamera‘.

The ‘Khalifah Song’ is an English song.

Guantanamera’ is a patriotic Spanish song from Cuba.

After the program we ate fried noodle keropok lekor.

The keropok lekor was tasty but the noodle was too spicy.

I met a lot of kakak and abang in SKPH and a lot of teachers too for example the Head Master and Teacher Siti.

All of them were very nice and I enjoyed visiting the school.ali-receive-cert-skph

I am very happy because Kak Syaza and Abang Kimi wrote comments in my blog 😉

I think there will be more programs in SKPH.

I love going to SKPH!
