Upacara Mandi Minyak (PSSGM)

On the 5th of December, I took part in Upacara Mandi Minyak (Oil Bath Ceremony) at Masjid Taman Kosas, Ampang organised by Pertubuhan Silat Seni Gayong Malaysia (PSSGM).

It took long hours to cook coconut milk in huge woks before the milk turned into coconut oil for the oil bath ceremony.

Soon after the coconut oil was ready, the ceremony started.

We read a few verses from the Quran before dipping our hands into the hot oil and spread the oil all over our body.

Amazingly, the oil was not too hot even though it was just ready but we have to be very careful not to touch the very hot wok.

Silat is a type of Malay martial art.

The New Me

Last week on Friday, a day before the Bersih 3.0 demonstration, I had an eye test at the Menara Optometry in Tesco Extra Ampang.

And on Thursday May 3, 2012, I collected my spectacles 🙂

The power index of my lenses are 7.5.

And when I wear my glasses everything looks so clear

Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir (Ampang Hilir Lake Garden)

Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir means Ampang Hilir Lake Garden.

It is near my house in Ampang.

The park is very beautiful.

There is big lake in the middle of the park.

And there are a lot of fishes in the lake.

There is a jogging path around the lake.

I always jog over there.

We have to go there early in the morning before it gets too hot.

I like to jog because it is fun.

After jogging I would play at the playground.

Playing at the playground is fun too

On Thursday my father bought me a pair of jogging shoes.

It is another present for my birthday

I can’t wait to jog in my new shoes.

Actually my old shoes were already too tight.

Solar Eclipse In Malaysia

This evening I watched solar eclipse from my house in Ampang.

Solar is the sun.

It was a partial solar eclipse.

The solar eclipse started 4:36 PM.

Solar eclipse is when the moon hide the sun.

When the moon hide the sun, the sun will be hidden.

So it will be dark because we can’t see the sun.

I watched the solar eclipse on TV too.

I saw a total solar eclipse on TV.

Landslide at Bukit Antarabangsa (Tanah Runtuh di Bukit Antarabangsa)

Landslide is earth falling from the hill to the ground.

Last night I told my father that I saw a landslide at Bukit Antarabangsa when we passed the area.

This morning when I woke up, my father told me that there was a real landslide at Bukit Antarabangsa at 4:00 am.

Earth fell on houses in Taman Bukit Mewah and Taman Bukit Utama.

Up to now 4 people died and 15 injured.

More people are still trapped in the landslide.

I saw houses and cars destroyed in the landslide on TV.

The roads were cracked and some parts were destroyed.

People living near the landslide area must leave their houses because more landslide may happen.

From my house in Ampang, I can hear the sounds of helicopters flying to the area.

It is like in the Sims City3000 unlimited where helicopters would fly to the disaster areas.

My father’s friend, Uncle Nizam lives in Bukit Antarabangsa.

He said that he cannot get out from his area because the road was cut off.

There is no electricity in the area now.

People are trying to walk out from the area to buy food.

I think that it is very dangerous to live on the hills and near the hills because landslide can destroy houses.

Silat Cekak Hanafi Dinner

Last night I went to Bora Bora Restaurant in Ampang.

The Bora Bora is next to the Sports Planet.

The Silat Cekak Hanafi Dinner was in Bora Bora.

There were lots of people at Bora Bora.

I met Uncle Amrahi.

He is a Silat Cekak Hanafi instructor.

I met the Grand Teacher of Silat Cekak Hanafi.

His name is Uncle Marwi.

I met Uncle Azua.

He is also a Silat Cekak Hanafi instructor.

I ate satay, lamb, rice cake and water melon.

I really love the sweet water melon.

Water melon is healthy food.

I watch some people performing silat.

I like the silat performance.

And we won two lucky draw prizes.

The prizes are big and heavy.
