A Visit To The TV AlHijrah Studio

On Saturday, October 13, 2012, I went to the TV AlHijrah headquarters at the Pusat Islam Complex, Kuala Lumpur.

I went there because my father was going to be on air in the morning program named, Assalamualaikum.

Kashah (L) and I at the TV AlHijrah office.
My father on air during ‘Assalamualaikum’ on TV AlHijrah.

While waiting for my father’s and Pak Cik Ismail Mina’s turn to be on air, we met Aunty Farah Adeeba.

We were talking with Aunty Farah (L). In the middle is a lady from Kementerian Kesihatan who was on air before my father.

I was given a chance to have a look at the studio where they recorded the program.

But I could only be there for a short while since the program was aired life.

Inside the studio where the program was recorded.

As soon as I snapped the photo, I went to another room to watch the program on TV.

After the program, we spoke with Aunty Farah and Abang Amin Idris.

Aunty Farah and I posing for the camera.
Abang Amin Idris and I in front of one of the TV AlHijrah’s banners.

Aunty Farah and Abang Amin are very nice and friendly.

From left is Kaman, Kafah, me, Aunty Farah and Kashah.

I really enjoy going there and I hope I could go there again 🙂

Wallace And Gromit

Wallace and Gromit on the moon in 'A Grand Day Out'.

I watch ‘Wallace and Gromit’ on TV3.

The story was about an inventor who loves cheese named Wallace and his smart dog named Gromit.

Wallace and Gromit chasing Feathers McGraw in 'The Wrong Trousers'.

The animation is beautiful; but not as beautiful as ‘3rd & Bird’ (please click here).

‘Wallace and Gromit’ is film with stop motion clay animation by Aardman Animations.

I like to watch the series because they are very funny.

My favourite story is ‘A Close Shave’.

Wallace and Gromit in 'A Close Shave'.

The two main protagonists are Wallace and Gromit.

Shaun the sheep was the spin off of Wallace and Gromit.

(Please click here for my post on, ‘Shaun The Sheep’).

Shaun The Sheep

I watch ‘Shaun the Sheep‘ on TV3.

(Please click here to visit Shaun the Sheep’s official website)

The story is about a sheep named Shaun who loves to play with his friends and they always get into trouble.

But the characters can’t talk, they only speak using their animal languages.

The main antagonist of the series are the pig and Pidsley the cat is Shaun’s nemesis.

The middle part of the story will be very funny when they try to solve their problems so they won’t get into trouble.

Shaun, Bitzer and the flock.

The animation is beautiful, but not as beautiful as ‘3rd & Bird’ 🙂

The story’s animation is similar to ‘Wallace & Gromit’.

The genre of the story is an animated children’s comedy.

In Malaysia ‘Shaun the Sheep’ is aired on TV3 at 8:30 a.m.

The main characters are:

Shaun is the leader of the flock. He's clever, cool and always keeps his head, when the other sheep are losing theirs!
Shirley is an eating machine! She's so big that she often gets stuck and needs the other sheep to push, pull or even sling-shot her out of trouble!
The farmer's faithful dog and a good friend to Shaun, Bitzer's the ever suffering sheep dog, doing his best to keep Shaun's pals out of trouble!
Running the farm with Bitzer at his side, the Farmer is complelety oblivious to the human-like intelligence of his flock... or their stupidity!
He may be the baby of the flock, but Timmy is often at the centre of things! It's a good job his mum is always there to keep him safe.
One big happy (if slightly dopey) family, the sheep like to play and create mischief together, though it's usually Shaun and Bitzer who sort out the resulting mess!
Shaun's nemesis, Pidsley, desires to be the sole recipient of the Farmer's attention. He is jealous of Bitzer's relationship with the farmer and dislikes the sheep, thinking them stupid and beneath him.

I Watched Small Potatoes :)

Small Potatoes' Ruby

‘Small Potatoes’ is the latest TV shortform series by the Little Airplane Productions.

It is created, written and directed by Josh Selig, the creator of ‘Wonder Pets’and 3rd & Bird’.

I first knew about ‘Small Potatoes’ on Jan 29, 2011 when Mr. Josh Selig sent me a comment on my post, ‘3rd & Bird.

I am very happy and proud to received comments from Mr. Josh Selig!

He also gave me the link to listen to one of the songs from ‘Small Potatoes’, ‘Imagination’.

The shows airs in Spring 2011 but I can’t watch them because I don’t have cable TV or satellite TV at home.

And today I am very happy because I can watch them on YouTube!

The episode that I first watched was the first episode, ‘Imagination (Give It A Try)’.

I really love the show 🙂

I think ‘Small Potatoes’ is so cute and sweet and the song are very beautiful.

Thank you to Mr. Josh Selig for creating beautiful animations and nice songs that promotes good values 🙂

Children television series must promote good values and teach children to be a better person and not promoting bad values and violence.

Peep, And The Big Wide World

I watch Peep, and the Big Wide World on TV AlHijrah.

It was really fun to watch and the animation is simple but nice.

The story is about Peep (the yellow, round chick), Chirp (the red, round robin) and Quack (the blue, oval duck) discovering different things in each episodes.

The story teaches us nature and simple science.

The first Peep, And The Big Wide World episode that I watch was ‘The Mystery Of The Thing That Went And Came Back’ and ‘Peep’s Color Quest’.

TV AlHijrah

TV AlHijrah is a television company owned by JAKIM.

It is one of the new television channel in Malaysia.

I love to watch TV AlHijrah because most of the programs promote  good values and do not have much violence.

A photo of my sister Kafah (L) and I (R) around the Pusat Islam. At the back is the TV AlHijrah office.

My favourite program is ‘3rd & Bird’ but sadly the program is now replaced by ‘Peep and The Big Wide World’ 😕

I enjoy watching ‘Peep and The Big Wide World’ but I prefer ‘3rd & Bird’ because its story line is more interesting, it has lots of wonderful songs and the animation is so beautiful and so cute 🙂

‘3rd and Bird’ is created by Josh Selig, who is also the creator of ‘Wonder Pets’.

Please >>>click here<<< for my post on ‘3rd & Bird’.

I also like to watch ‘Tao Shu, ‘Muhammad Utusan Terakhir’, ‘Ejen Halal’ and ‘Menu Alam’.

I met Uncle Nizal Mohammad of TV AlHijrah at the book launch of ‘Minda Tertawan‘.

I told him to air a new animation series, ‘Small Potatoes’ on TV AlHijrah 😉

‘Small Potatoes’ is created by Josh Selig who wrote one of my favourite songs, ‘Imagination’ 🙂

‘Imagination’, A Song From ‘Small Potatoes’

Meeting Uncle Nizal Mohammad

I am so excited to meet Uncle Nizal at the book launch of 'Minda Tertawan'.

On 9th April, 2011, I met Uncle Nizal Mohammad at the book launch of “Minda Tertawan’,

Please click here for my post on the book launch of ‘Minda Tertawan’.

Uncle Nizal used to work for TV3.

But now he works for TV AlHijrah.

The programs that TV AlHijrah airs promotes good values.

I told him that TV AlHijrah should buy the rights to air ‘Small Potatoes’ and ‘The Olive Branch’ because both television series promote good values, fun and the animations are very beautiful.

They have nice and beautiful songs too.

Please click here to listen to the song, ‘Imagination’ from ‘Small Potatoes’.

‘Small Potatoes’ and ‘The Olive Branch’ are produced by the Little Airplane Productions.

TV Al Hijrah used to air another animated series from the Little Airplane Productions that I really love watching named ‘3rd & Bird’.

Please click here for my post on ‘3rd & Bird’.

Uncle Nizal  is a very nice man.

I love to talk with him and I wish to meet him again 🙂

Las Manos Magicas

I like to perform magic tricks like my big sister Kaman.

Anyway I was always upset because Kaman would not teach me the tricks 🙂

So I was very excited the first time I watch ‘Las Manos Magicas’.

I watch ‘Las Manos Magicas’ on NTV7.

‘Las Manos Magicas’ means ‘The Magic Hands’.

The show teaches us how to do magic tricks.

I read in the internet that ‘Las Manos Magicas’ is originally in Spanish but now it is translated to other languages and in English the show is named ‘With The Magic Hands’.

The first episode that I watched was a trick to make a coin ‘disappear’.

In Malaysia, Las Manos Magicas is aired daily on NTV7 from 8:30 to 8:31 am.

I like to watch the show because it teaches me how to do simple and interesting magic tricks 🙂

The Penguins of Madagascar

The Penguin of Madagascar.

I watch ‘The Penguins of Madagascar’ on TV3.

The story is about four penguins going on adventures.

I love to watch ‘The Penguins of Madagascar’ because it is so funny.

At first the four penguins usually lose to their nemesis; but after that they’ll try very hard and they’ll win.

The first time I watched The Penguins of Madagascar’, I thought that it was the ‘Madagascar 2’.

The first episode that I watched was ‘Roger Dodger.

In Malaysia, ‘The Penguins of Madagascar’ is aired on TV3 every Saturday at 9:30 AM.

The protagonist of this TV show is Skipper.

Skipper is the leader of the group and who plans of how to solve problems that they face in their adventures.

The deuteragonist is Kowalski.

Kowalski helps Skipper to analyse the situation, draw plans and invent things in solving problems.

Rico is the tritagonist.

Rico’s job is to keep and carry useful things.

He swallows them and keep the things safe until Skipper needs them.

Anyway, sometimes when Skipper asks for something very important like a torchlight, Rico’ll give him silly things like playing card or a torch light.

And the second tritagonist is Private.

Private doesn’t have any specific role so he’ll do anything that Skipper asks him to do. He is very friendly with King Julien, the lemur.

Rico

Other characters in the stories are:

  1. Marlene
  2. Maruice
  3. Mort
  4. King Julien

Tao Shu

I watch Tao Shu on TV AlHijrah.

It was fun.

The  story was about Tao Shu and his sister Ling Ling.

The story teach us good values.

I read on the internet that Tao Shu is originally from Peach Blossom Media.

Tao Shu and his family are Chinese just like my grandmother.

The first episode that I watched was about a plant that cannot be pulled out.

Anyway, Tao Shu’s animation and graphic is not very beautiful.

In Malaysia Tao Shu is aired Monday to Friday on TV AlHijrah at 5:00 pm.

The cast are:

I think Pocoyo or 3rd & Bird‘s animations and graphics are much better than Tao Shu.
