Ikat Perut? Pilihan Menu Super Murah, Sedap Dan Berkhasiat

Sediakan payung sebelum hujan.

A Paddy Plant In Our Garden?

A lone paddy plant in our garden, July 23, 2018.

Yesterday evening, as my eldest sister, Aiman was gardening, she was shocked to discover that there was a plant that looks like a paddy plant in the middle of our brick pot.

Taking a closer look, my sister saw some ripening rice on the lone paddy plant which grew beside another large pot, surprisingly in a condition where it is not suitable for paddy plant to grow.

It seems as if the paddy plant had miraculously appeared out of nowhere, as we did not plant any rice and neither the dry soil nor the condition of the garden is suitable for a paddy plant to grow.

My Sister’s Tomato Plants – Photos

My sister has some tomato plants which grew from her compost.

She replanted them and they grew into beautiful plants, but my sister was not sure if they will bear fruit since tomato does not fruit easily over here.

My mother was very excited when they started to fruit and we waited excitedly to taste them.

They are ordinary tomatoes, but they taste so sweet, even sweeter than the cherry tomatoes that we have been buying here.

The tomatoes are very flavourful too.

There are so many fruits growing on the tomato plants now and here are some of the photos.

I snapped these photos using my Nokia Lumia 1020 phone.

Black Tomato?

Black tomatoes are believed to have been developed at the Oregon State University, in America, forming part of their ‘Indigo Rose’ project.

The tomato has a jet black skin, and is among the first in the world to contain anthocyanins, an antioxidant thought to have a number of health benefits.

However, the tomatoes are red on the inside.

Ray says the colour is the result of a genetic mutation. (SWNS)

The tomatoes are ripe when their colour changes from a shiny blue-purple to an almost jet black, with the bottoms of the tomatoes turning red.

Yahoo News reported that the unusual colour stems from pigments in the skin which develop when exposed to sunlight.

Ray Brown, 66, who runs Plant World Seeds, is believed to be the first person to grow black tomato in Britain.

It started when a customer sent Mr. Brown a mystery package entitled ‘black tomato’.

Now Mr Brown has three black tomato plants, each has 20 tomatoes.

“They are edible, we’ve eaten lots, they have a nice taste and a really lovely flavour,” said Mr. Brown.

Overnight sprinkler are usually used during freezing nights in Florida to protect the plants, fruits and trees from the extreme weather.

And a part of the results is stunning icicles like shinning, beautiful decorations hanging from the plants and trees.

Aren’t they beautiful?

The freezing temperature in Southern California can damage the fruits grown in the orchards such as oranges, avocados and strawberries.

Farmers use wind machine and spraying water to save the ripening fruits from frozen.

The icicles caused by the frozen water are very beautiful. (Please click here for photos of beautiful icicles on ripening strawberries and oranges during a cold snap in Florida in early January 2010.)
