The locations of the tragic Paris attacks, Friday November 13, 2015.

Series of gun and bomb attacks in Paris Friday night had shocked the world.

By 09:02 GMT, French prosecutors have a provisional death toll of 128 with another 99 in critical condition, according to Reuters reports.

The attacks took place in six different places in Paris including the Bataclan concert hall, the Stade de France, and on bars and restaurants not far from the Place de la Republique and the Place de la Bastille.

  1. Bataclan concert venue, 50 boulevard Voltaire, 11th district (gun and suicide bomb attacks).The attack on the 1,500-seat Bataclan concert hall in central Paris where Californian band Eagles Death Metal had been playing to a sell-out crowd, was the deadliest of Friday night’s attacks. At least eighty people were reported killed after gunmen burst into the Bataclan concert hall and took dozens hostage. The siege ended when security forces stormed the building.

  2. Stade de France, St Denis, just north of Paris (explosions near venue). NBC News reported a police union official, Gregory Goupil, said the bombings killed at least three people, near two of the entrances to the stadium and a McDonald’s. The stadium where President Hollande and 80,000 other spectators were watching a friendly international between France and Germany was the first site targeted. The explosions was reported as suicide blast.

  3. Le Carillon bar, 18 rue Alibert, 10th district (gun attack).

  4. Le Petit Cambodge restaurant, 20 rue Alibert, 10th district (gun attack).

  5. La Belle Equipe, 92 rue de Charonne, 11th district (gun attack).

  6. La Casa Nostra restaurant, 2 rue de la Fontaine au roi, 11th district (gun attack).

NBC News reported that the Paris prosecutor Francois Molins’ office said that eight attackers were dead, seven of them via suicide bombing while one of the attackers was killed by security forces when they raided the the Bataclan.

Paris residents have been asked to stay indoors and about 1,500 military personnel are being deployed across the city.

French President François Hollande ordered a state of emergency in Paris and closed the country’s borders immediately after the violence broke out.
