Who Took My Tea, A Poem By Ahmad Ali karim

My big sister,
Made some tea,
In a mug,
Just for me,

I took a sip, and,
Put down the mug,
And gave my mom,
A big bear hug.

I picked the mug,
To finish my tea,
But its empty!
Nothing I can see.

I looked around,
And heard a meow,
I saw my kitten,
It’s confirmed now.

I picked her up,
And took it out,
It drank my tea,
Without any doubt.

Is Marina Mahathir Scared Of Hudud?

Mmo

Referring to the article above, I have several questions for Marina Mahathir, who is a daughter of former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

  1. What kind of Muslim is Marina, to say that she wants to leave Malaysia if hudud is implemented in this country?
A Muslim should be happier when Islamic law is implemented in his or her country. It will be safer for them because it can turn our country into a more peaceful country.
  2. “I cannot live in a country where people want to cut off hands, I’m sorry, or stone people to death,” Marina told Malay Mail Online in a recent interview here. What does she understand about Islam and hudud?
I’m sorry for her because at her age, she still does not understand Islam and the Islamic law; but yet she still want to talk about hudud as if she is an expert on the subject.
  3. Is she scared of hudud? Has she done something wrong that might cause her to be punished under hudud?
Contrary to what Marina thinks, Islamic law is fair and just. Islam is a peaceful religion.
  4. Marina claims to be a Muslim activist fighting for Muslim rights through an NGO called Sisters in Islam. Why would an ‘Islamic’ activist hate the Islamic law?
I hope that Marina will understand that it is wrong for a Muslim to belittle the Islamic law.
  5. “She said the Iranian women, who were middle-class elites living in New York, had sounded bitter and were aggressive about keeping religion out of everything, noting that their counterparts had stayed back in Iran and fought from within, when women’s rights were rolled back after Iran became an Islamic state following the 1979 revolution.” Does Marina understand the difference between Syiah and Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah?
Syiah is a deviant teachings which claims to be as a part of Islam. The rules of Syiah is against the rules of Islam. Like other liberals and plurals Marina does not understand Islam. Not only they refer Syiah as a part of Islam, but they are also forcing the Malaysian government to accept the teaching of Syiah as part of Islam; but at the same time they complain about the Syiah law as practiced in Iran.
  6. “It’s natural to me, if I see something wrong, to say something, or to do something,” said Marina. Does she see hudud as “something wrong”?
If she does, I’m so sorry for her.
  7. “It’s a form of worship. It’s how I act out my life as a Muslim. If you say it’s a way of life, it’s not just about rituals. It’s acted out by trying to do good, to be charitable and to ensure justice,” she added. Is Marina trying to tell others how a Muslim should lives their life?
A person with no proper knowledge on a subject must not talk as if they are an expert on that subject. Marina who fights for lots of things that is against Islam such as LGBT rights, liberalism and pluralism of religion should not talk about Islam as if she really understands Islam better than others.

A Long Journey Of Water Drops – A Poem By Ahmad Ali Karim

A half-full pail of water,
Left by a man named Jun,
On a hot day, in a field,
Dried in the blazing sun.

The water drops rose up,
Till they reached the sky,
Which made them excited,
For they thought they couldn’t fly.

Later they flew down,
As rain drops into a stream,
Again, they were so excited,
It was just like a dream.

The stream leads to a cliff,
And becomes a waterfall,
So the water dived down,
To the base of Niagara Falls.

The water moved on,
Passing through dark tunnels,
And fell into dirty water,
Where they turned into bubbles.

They were in a big sewer,
Where there’s nowhere to go,
Day and night they were trapped,
Until again they could flow.

Then again, they traveled,
As sparkling clean water,
Flowing through dark tunnels,
And reached a water filter.

They came out cleaner,
Into a bottle, they ran,
Back to Jun, back to the fields,
And to the sky they flew again.

The Mango Tree – A Poem By Ahmad Ali Karim

In a beautiful land,
Where bananas grow,
There’s a big mango tree,
And other plants in a row.

The tree is the biggest,
Among the rest of its type,
Biggest in the village,
And all the mangoes are ripe!

The mangoes are tasty,
Very sweet and not sour,
And there’s enough fruits,
For everyone to devour.

Mr. Bear – A Poem By Ahmad Ali Karim

One happy bear,
Playing by a lake,
In a little town,
Named Bartlebake.

The black bear loves to swim,
And sometimes dives inside,
That one specific lake,
Which in it, fishes hide.

The fishes are scared,
Of the big black bear,
But they do not know,
That the bear’s heart is fair.

The Village – A Poem By Ahmad Ali Karim

In a small, quiet village,
I walked by myself,
At one shop I bought,
Fresh cream from their shelf.

Apple trees all over the ground,
The birds flying in the sky,
By the stream I sat,
Eating fresh cream with my pie.

The foods, so fresh,
The grasses are so green,
The rivers, sparkling clean,
The best place I’ve ever been.

Lim Kit Siang Mursyidul Am Baru PAS?

  3. Apakah Lim Kit Siang merasakan dirinya lebih tahu tentang hukum Islam berbanding Presiden dan Mursyidul Am PAS?

  4. Pemimpin DAP bebas bercakap tentang hal ehwal agama Islam; apakah tindakan DAP jika pemimpin PAS masuk campur atau mengkritik perkara-perkara yang berkaitan dengan urusan agama mereka?

Yusuf Islam’s “Why I Still Carry A Guitar”

Office Lens_20150512_112135_processed

It was a surprise when Uncle Zulkifli Noordin told me last Thursday, that he had asked Yusuf Islam to sign his new book, “Why I Still Carry A Guitar” for me.

I was so excited because I enjoy Yusuf Islam’s songs like, “A Is For Allah” and “I Look I See”; and I think that he has a very beautiful voice.

Uncle Zul said that he’ll be sending me the book personally; and I just can’t wait to read the book!

On Sunday evening I heard the door bell ringing and to my surprise I saw Uncle Zul smiling at the gate holding a brown envelope.

I was so excited to see Uncle Zul and I was sure that the book was in the brown envelope.

The book is an auto biography of Yusuf Islam, what made him become a singer, why and how he converted to Islam and becomes Yusuf Islam from Cat Stevens and what made him sings again.

I truly enjoy reading the book even though I do not agree with Yusuf Islam about how the Arab Spring started.

It is amazing how he got to know Islam and what made him converted to Islam at the time when he was a very popular singer.

He wrote that after he becomes a Muslim, he once thought that music is forbidden in Islam but then he knew that it is okay and so he started singing and writing nasyids.

I want to thank Uncle Zul for giving me “Why I Still Carry A Guitar” signed by Yusuf Islam, it is a really special present – a special book written by a special person and given to me by an even more special person.

I really enjoyed reading the book and I don’t mind reading it again.
