NaPoWriMo Poem #15: A Song In The Air

I walked down the stairs,
With a ball in my hand,
And a song in the air.

I opened the door and stepped on the sand,
I watched my friends running down the street,
And so I called the whole band.

I said, “Have a seat’,
So they sat on the chairs,
And watched a parade along the street,

I took them to a square,
Where we bought some cinnamon buns,
And were each given a pear.

Then I asked, “Do you like to be in the sun?”
One of them said, “It’s hot”, one of them said, “It’s dry”,
But I think, that is the best time to have fun.
