Nowadays, it has been raining very heavily in Selangor every evening, so heavy that it caused flash floods in some areas.

But sadly, despite the rains and flash floods, the taps are still dry in Selangor…

…the situation had caused some people to be very, very, angry…

…and very, very sad…

A sad, dry tap… I wonder why is it feeling so sad… May be it felt cheated by the Selangor government’s false promises. (Image credit to Helen Ang – helenang.wordpress.com/2014/04/30/dun-sgor-perlukan-hanya-seorang-sahaja-adun-melompat-untuk-ia-segera-tumbang/)

And sometimes when there is water, this is what we get…

But crisis can also make people becomes very creative…

This is what Anwar wanted President Obama to see – how Selangor government helps people create new inventions…

Creative inventions and innovations create more businesses and good for the economy.

Well, Anwar made Khalid Ibrahim worked too hard to improve the economy of the Selangor’s residents…

I wonder if he cries at home. And maybe until he can't go to sleep...
He works so hard that he did not have much time  to sleep…

…until sometimes he got too tired, that he fell asleep during a press conference…

... So he must sleep during the press confrence and dreamt about water crisis...
… MB of Selangor fell asleep during a press conference…

Maybe Khalid should take a rest and watch this video…

Wow… it works! Khalid is feeling better and cheerful now… but wait, he has found a new friend?

...since he and Najib are good friends...
See, how happy Khalid is with Najib…

NaPoWriMo Poem #30: Till We Meet Again

  😥 😦 😥 😦 😥 😦 😥

National Poem Writing Month,
Also known as NaPoWriMo,
Similar to the other challenge,
Which is called NaNoWriMo.

National Poem Writing Month,
I find it not that easy,
To write a poem each day,
It has kept me really busy.

National Poem Writing Month,
Has finally reach the end!
It’s been a wonderful month,
As I’ve made lots of friends.

Thank you, NaPoWriMo,
My final poem is drawing near,
Now I have to say good bye,
Till we meet again next year.

  😥 😦 😥 😦 😥 😦 😥

NaPoWriMo Poem #29: Poor Little Duck

Poor little duck,
Stuck in the rain,
Couldn’t move its leg,
For it’s tangled in a chain.

The poor little duck,
It felt so sad,
It couldn’t get home,
And it felt so scared.

Then came Little Tom,
Who saw the duck,
He freed it’s leg,
And it happily quack.

At least 21 people were killed after ferocious storms and tornadoes tore down buildings and causing mass destruction in the southern United States.

Hundreds others were injured.

Most of the deaths occurred on Sunday after tornadoes hit Arkansas and other states.

Monday’s twister in Tupelo, one of several to tear across Mississippi, damaged hundreds of homes and businesses, downed power lines and tore up trees, the National Weather Service said.

After the Monday’s tornado in Tulopo, officials imposed an 8 p.m. (0100 GMT) curfew and in some residential areas were closed off as emergency crews checked downed power lines and gas leaks.

The storm system later pushed into parts of Alabama, where emergency officials said at least two people were killed at a trailer park near Athens, Alabama.

Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe said at least 15 people had died statewide in the storm.

Nine of the victims on Sunday came from the same street in Vilonia, a town with a population of about 4,100.

State authorities reported that one person was killed in Oklahoma, one in Iowa and another one in Kansas,

The National Weather Service said the threat of tornadoes will last for several days as a strong weather system interacts with a large area of unstable air across the central and southern United States.

According to AP News, The National Weather Service posted tornado watches and warnings around Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia that were in effect through Monday night.

Here are some photos of the aftermath…

NaPoWriMo Poem #28: My Birthday?

I wake up in the morning,
And this is what I say,
“Oh my,”
“What a great day!”

I step outside into the garden,
I can see cakes and pies,
My friends come running,
With big smiles, shouting, “Surprise!”

They wish me, “Happy Birthday”,
But today is not my birthday!
Then mom wake me up,
It’s just a dream, my birthday is on Monday.

NaPoWriMo Poem #27: The Beautiful Flowers Of Spring

Some tulips are red,
Some are yellow,
They are spectacular,
Don’t you think so?

Mallows are pink,
Or maybe white,
They are sweet,
As Turkish delight.

Pansies are full of colours,
Yellow, purple, pink and blue,
They bring us joy,
As in a dream comes true.

NaPoWriMo Poem #26: A Panda And Me

 A very cute little panda,
High up a bamboo tree,
Eating soft bamboo shoots,
While looking down at me.

Soon it was too full,
It could not come down,
I climbed up to help,
But I tumbled upside down.

Oh, my dear what should I do?
Little panda, how can I help you?
I took a ladder, and up I go,
I save the panda and it says thank you.

Jeff Ooi, “Sack That Selangor MB”

unnamed
From Jeff Ooi’s Facebook.

DAP’s MP of Jelutong, Jeff Ooi, wants the Selangor MB to be sacked because of the water crisis issue.

But must we blame the water crisis on Khalid alone?

What about the Selangor Exco members?

Aren’t they supposed to take care of Selangor too?

And what about the good governance that the oppositions are talking about?

If the opposition parties failed to solve the water problems in Selangor, how could they govern a country?

As Jeff Ooi wrote,

“We never faced water rationing as protracted like this before, not even during BN days.

Hmm… now, even an opposition leader knows that BN took care of Selangor better than they are doing now.

But I won’t be surprise if later on UMNO or BN will be blamed for their failure to solve this problem 🙂
