A Cup Of Tea – A Poem By Ahmad Ali Karim

photo0501

A cup of tea,
With lots of sugar,
Just for me,
And my big sister.

I drank my share,
And my sister drank the rest,
She stood up from her chair,
And said, “This is the best”.

She made another cup full,
Of the sweet, tasty tea,
But only with one rule,
Three quarters is for me.

So I asked my sister,
“Why not divide it into half?”
And this is her answer,
“Because I must feed the calf”
