Tasty Home Made Crumpets

Crumpet and honey... a very tasty meal.
Crumpet and honey… a very tasty meal.

Fasting sometimes make us think about food 🙂

And today, I’m going to write about home made crumpets or drop scones….

My mother says that crumpets are very easy to make.

The other day when my mother was in a hurry to go out for some groceries she baked crumpets for our early lunch.

You’ll only need flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, eggs, butter and milk or buttermilk.

My mother mixed the ingredients, let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes and cook them.

Yummy! Crumpet with honey and whipped cream.
Yummy! Crumpet with honey and whipped cream.

They are really tasty on their own or we can eat them with butter, jam, ice cream or anything that we like.

I topped them with whipped cream and honey and they tasted really good.

Crumpets looks like little pancakes but they taste different; and I prefer crumpets than pancakes.

I wish I can have more of those delicious and tasty crumpets…..

I am enjoying my crumpet.
I am enjoying my crumpet.

    1. Dear Richard,
Canadian Maple Syrup must be very tasty. I wish I can have the Canadian Maple Syrup with my crumpets 🙂
By the way, I have never been to Canada. I saw part of Canada when we were at the Niagara Falls but we did not cross the bridge to Canada. I like the shape of maple leaves and love their colours in Autumn.

      1. Canada is a young country with a slow increasing population, we need emigrants to increase our population as 2 or less kids per family is the norm. Use google earth and see how much land is owned by governments waiting to be bought up and occupied. Less then 10% of the land is settled but the north is very rocky from the great ice age melt that washed soil south. The elderly are out numbering the work force and have paid for homes to pass on to our children but children with out parents or parents that did not invest in housing are having trouble to buy a home and pay taxes to support the elderly with medicare and elderly nursing homes. This will be hard to over come.
