
On Saturday, a magnitude 6.4 and a magnitude 6.3 earthquakes hit northwest Iran.
The first earthquake struck 60 km (37 miles) northeast of the city of Tabriz and the second struck 11 minutes later near Varzaghan, 49 km (30 miles) northeast of Tabriz.
The two powerful earthquakes injured at least 2600 people.
So far 300 people were reported killed.
The earthquakes caused a lot of damages.
Lots of buildings and houses were destroyed and roads to the villages were cut out.
About 110 villages were damaged in the quakes.
There were no drinking water in some villages.
There could be more people still trapped under the rubble.
Hospitals are overcrowded with thousands of the earthquake victims.
This is a disaster.
