Today there was a demonstration called Bersih 3.0 in Kuala Lumpur.
(Please click here for more photos and videos of Bersih 3.0).
The organizers said that it was a peaceful demonstration but it was not.
It was very bad, road had to be closed and the demonstrators even overturned a police car.
This is a disaster.
Big demonstrations should not been held in open places in the city.
Why big street demonstrations are bad?
-
The organisers cannot control the demonstrators and the demonstrators may use violence.
-
It can turn into riot and cause a very big war in the country.
-
People over there including the organisers could get hurt.
-
Scare the tourists and investors.
-
Shop has to be closed.
-
Influence people from other places to do the same by watching social-media like what happened in the Arab countries.
If you really need to make a big demonstration:
-
Ask permission from the police.
-
Follow the police’s instructions.
-
Do it in a big building such as a stadium like Himpunan Sejuta Umat because it will be much easier to control the crowd and the organisers won’t be disturbing other people.
-
The organiser must control the crowd and do it peacefully.
Do we want these to happen in Malaysia?
