7.2 Magnitude Earthquake in Turkey-Pictures

On Sunday 10/23/2011, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hits Ercis, eastern Turkey.

At least 270 people was killed and more than 1000 people were injured.

This is a very powerful earthquake.

The quake struck at 1:41 p.m. (1041 GMT; 6:41 a.m. EDT).

The earthquake destroyed buildings and vehicle.

This is a disaster.
