Plane Crashed In Pakistan

An Airblue passenger jet crashed into the hills near Islamabad Wednesday morning in bad weather.

At least 5 people were killed and 3 wounded.

Many more were feared dead in the crash.

The jet was carrying 152 people from Karachi to Islamabad.

The plane was about to land when it crashed.

Yesterday a Lufthansa cargo plane crashed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This is another disaster.

On Tuesday July 27,2010 a Lufthansa cargo plane crashed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This is a disaster.

Its German pilot and co-pilot were injured.

The plane was close to the airport when it caught fire and the engines stopped working.

Then it crashed and split into two halves.

The plane came from Frankfurt to Riyadh and was on the way to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and then to Hong Kong.

I think it was lucky that the pilot and co- pilot were not killed in the crash.

In the Fedex plane crash in China on March 23, 2009 the pilot ad  co-pilot were killed.

China Hit By Typhoon Chanthu-Pictures

Typhoon Chanthu made a landfall on Guangdong province Thursday noon, July 22, 2010.

Typhoon is a natural disaster.

It brought strong winds up to 126 kilometers per hour and very heavy rain.

It made the bad flood in China even worse.

2 people were killed when the very strong wind knocked down a wall.

It then weaken to a tropical storm.

In Hong Kong the heavy rain caused a bad flood and killed 1 person.

This is the worst storm that hit Hong Kong in 30 years.

The storm will cause heavy rain as it continue its journey to other parts of China.

1 Dead In Glacier Express Accident

Glacier Express derailed in the Swiss Alps on Friday, July 23, 2010.

It happened near the town of Fiesch and the mouth of the Aletsch glacier.

The Aletsch glacier is Europe’s largest icemass.

The train was on a journey between Zermatt and St. Moritz.

1 person was killed and 42 people were injured.

Train accident is very rare in Switzerland.

Glacier Express is a very popular tourist train in Switzerland.

It has very big windows so that the passengers can see the beautiful Alps mountains, glaciers, streams and other wonderful things around.

The Glacier Express is known for its majestic mountain climbs.

It is called the “slowest express train in the world”.

It travels at an average speed of 18 mph (30 kph).

This is another disaster.

On Monday a speeding express train collided in India.

China Flooding Kills 701 In Worst Toll In A Decade-Photos

There is a bad flood in China now.

It is a disaster.

701 people were killed by the flood and 347 are missing.

Three quarter of China’s provinces were hit by the flood.

25 rivers have reached record-high water level.

Heavy rain on the hillsides caused lots of landslides.

Lots and lots of houses and buildings were damaged.

The water level at the Three Gorges Dam is at record high.

It is now just 20m below the dam’s maximum capacity.

Three Gorges Dam is the biggest hydro power dam in the world.

The dam is on the Yangtze River.

Yangtze River is the longest river in China.

I think that the people in China must stop doing things that hurt the environment.

They should stop cutting down trees and stop polluting the rivers and the air.

All these make a flood worse.

Oil Spill In China-It Can Happen In Malaysia Too

On Friday night, July 16 2010 an oil pipeline exploded at the Xingang port in China.

More than 2000 fire fighters and 338 fire engines worked for 15 hours to stop the fire.

The explosion caused an oil spill around the Dalian port.

This oil spill is not as bad as the spill in the Gulf Of Mexico.

Oil spill can happen anywhere in the world.

So we must be careful to prevent it.

It is a disaster.

Oil spill caused serious water pollution and can pollute the lands around it.

It can kill animals such as fish, crab, clam and birds.

It can kill plants too.

Cleaning oil spill is hard and very expensive.

At Least 61 People Killed In India Train Crash-Photos

At 2 a.m. Monday, there was a bad train accident at the Sainthia station near Calcutta in India.

This is a disaster.

The speeding Uttarbanga Express hit the Vananchal Express that was not moving.

The impact of the accident was so strong that the roof of one car flew into the air.

It landed on an overpass above the track.

So far, 61 bodies were found at the crash site; including 2 drivers of the

Uttarbanga Express.

125 people were injured.

The local people said that the rescue teams arrived about 3 hours after the accident.

The police said that they arrived within an hour after the accident.

It is not good if the rescue teams arrive late when there is an accident.

Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee, who rushed to the site, said that the crash could have been a sabotage.
