Bad Flash Flood Hit French Riviera-Photos

Bad flash floods hit the French Riviera starting Tuesday.

On Wednesday, at least 19 people were killed and 12 people were accounted for.

Streets turned into muddy rivers.

The flood swept cars, trees and parts of houses.

The French Riviera is a very beautiful place by the Mediterranean Sea.

This is a second big natural disaster that hit France this year.

On February 28, 2010 a storm named Xynthia hit the French coastal Atlantic area killing at least 52 people.

Regional authorities in southeastern France say more than a dozen people have been killed and many are missing in the aftermath of flash floods that followed powerful rainstorms.
