Imam Visits Michael Jackson’s Family to Discuss Funeral Arrangements

UPDATE: Many have asked concerning the below. I heard the report on CNN’s Wolf Blitzer’s show “The Situation Room”. He briefly mentioned it during the coverage of Michael Jackson.Al-Hamdulillah, CNN reported that the Jackson family is meeting with an imam to make the funeral arrangements for the janazah (Muslim funeral prayer) for Michael Jackson. I pray that Allah will have mercy on his soul and grant the family some privacy as they make the plans for a Muslim funeral. I ask Muslims to reserve their judgement and pray for him and his family. I pray that Muslims will respond to this loss our brother in every loving way possible. I do not know when and were the prayers will be. I trust that the masjid that Jermaine Jackson attends will handle the prayers and preparation. The West Coast Muslims in LA and Imam Zaid Shaker or Sheikh Hamza are hopefully in the loop? May Allah help them. We have not had a major figure in the pop world pass away before Micheal Jackson. I pray that we will do our best and that Allah will have mercy show.

I think it is true that Michael Jackson has converted to Islam.

Micheal Jackson was the ‘King Of Pop’.

He was a very, very popular singer.

He was born in 1958 and died today in Los Angeles, California.

He collapsed and was taken to UCLA Medical Center.

Today I watched Michael Jackson’s video clip, ‘Thriller’ on You Tube.

I also saw Michael Jackson singing ‘Billie Jean’ on You Tube.

He wore one white glove, a glittering black jacket, a black magician hat, a pair of new black shoes and a pair of white socks.

He sang and danced and the audience sang and danced too.

He did his moonwalk and that was very nice.

Someone hold a sign board saying ‘King Of Pop’.

He changed his face to a woman’s face.

Michael Jackson reportedly has converted to Islam and changed his name to Mikaeel.

His friends Phillip Bubal (Idris Phillips) and David Whamsby (Dawud Whamsby Ali) were with him at that time.

‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson is dead

Pop icon Michael Jackson died Thursday after being rushed to the hospital after suffering cardiac arrest. Jackson, 50, was taken from his Los Angeles home to UCLA Medical Center where doctors worked for more than an hour to try to resuscitate him, his brother Jermaine Jackson said. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

Metro Train Crash Killed Nine People In Washington

At least nine people were killed in a rush hour train collision between two Metro trains on Monday north of downtown Washington DC.

During rush lots and lots of people want to ride the trains.

DC means District of Columbia.

It was a very bad train accident 😥

It was a disaster.

It happened just before 5 pm on the above ground track on the Red Line near the border with Takoma Park, Maryland.

One train was not moving when the crash happened.

Mayor Adrian Fenty said it was the deadliest crash in the history of Metro.

Metro is Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

Chief Dennis Rubin From Washington’s Fire and Emergency Medical Science Department told CNN that 56 had minor injuries, 12 had moderate injuries and 2 were badly injured.

The rescuers cut through the trains to rescue people because one train was on top of the other train.

The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate why it happened.

I think if I go to the United Nations meeting, I’ll tell people to becareful when riding in trains and aeroplanes.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — A rush-hour collision Monday between two Metro trains north of downtown Washington, D.C., killed at least six people and injured scores, Mayor Adrian Fenty said.

One train was stationary when the crash happened, according to Metro General Manager John Catoe.

He called it the deadliest crash in the history of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, known as Metro. One of the dead was the female operator of one of the trains, Metro officials said.

“The scene is as horrific as you can imagine,” Fenty said in a news conference. “One car was almost squeezed completely together.”

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. on an above-ground track on the Red Line in the District of Columbia near the border with Takoma Park, Maryland. Watch woman say she, fellow passengers ‘went flying’

A(H1N1) :School In KL Closed

When it first started Influenza A(H1N1) was known as swine flu.

Three students from SJK(C) Jalan Davidson at Jalan Hang Jebat were sicken by the flu.

The school has been closed for 1 week.

The first student got the flu after a holiday in Melbourne, Australia.

Then two classmates got the virus from their classmate who was sicken by the flu.

They were the 49th and 50th cases in Malaysia.

That was called local transmissions.

Local transmission of A(H1N1) virus means someone get the A(H1N1) virus from another person in Malaysia.

2100 students and staffs of the school had been home quarantined.

That means they must stay at home and they cannot visit public and crowded places.

We can try to avoid Influenza A(H1N1) by:

1. Avoid being in crowded places for example zoos, shopping malls, hospitals, cinemas and parks.

2. Wash your hands carefully using anti bacteria soap for example Dettol, Protex, Lifebouy and Antabax.

3. Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing .
   

4. Wear a mask  to cover your nose and mouth.

5. Take vitamin C and garlic to fight germs.

6. Take lots of water, fruit juice, tea and herb tea.

The Malaysian government is working hard to avoid the spreading of Influenza A(H1N1) virus in Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: SJK (C) Jalan Davidson at Jalan Hang Jebat here has been closed for a week after two local transmissions of the influenza A(H1N1) virus were detected in the school.

Two other schools with infected students – SRK Assunta 2 in Petaling Jaya and SM Section 9 Shah Alam – will also be closed if authorities discover local transmission of the virus there.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said eight cases of the virus were confirmed yesterday, including five schoolchildren – an 11-year-old from SRK Assunta 2, a 16-year-old from SM Shah Alam, and three at Class 5 I of SJK(C) Jalan Davidson.

He said all 2,100 students and staff members of SJK(C) Jalan Davidson had been home quarantined, after the National Security Council chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin agreed to close the school until Friday.

Pilot Died In Flight

The pilot died during the Continental Flight 61 from Brussels, Belgium to Newark, New Jersey on Thursday.

The pilot’s family told CNN that the pilot’s name is Craig Lenell, 60 years old.

There were 3 pilots on the trans-Atlantic flight.

Trans-Atlantic flights are the flights that fly across the Atlantic Ocean.

When the pilot died the two other pilots flew the Boeing 777 and landed at Newark International Airport at 11:49 AM ET Thursday.

ET means the North America Eastern Time Zone.

All the 247 passengers were safe and only knew that the pilot died when they reached Newark.

I think the pilot’s family are very sad because the pilot died.

(CNN) — The pilot of Continental Flight 61 died Thursday as the plane flew from Brussels, Belgium, to Newark, New Jersey, the Federal Aviation Administration and Continental Airlines said.

Pilot Craig Lenell is shown with daughter Jennifer Lenell-Small, a former Continental employee.

The 60-year-old Newark-based pilot died of “apparently of natural causes” about halfway through the flight, the airline said. He had 32 years of service with Continental, it said.

The pilot’s family identified him to CNN as Craig Lenell.

The airline said the crew on the flight included an additional relief pilot who took the place of the deceased man, and “the flight continued safely with two pilots at the controls.” The Boeing 777 landed safely at Newark International Airport at 11:49 a.m. ET Thursday, the airline said.

No further details were given. Continental did not release the pilot’s name.

Asked whether the plane’s 247 passengers had been told of the situation, a Continental spokesman said only that the plane had arrived safely.

Passengers told CNN that they were not informed, and that the only indication of a problem was that an announcement for a doctor was made during the flight. Watch a report about airline procedures »

“I haven’t heard anything.” passenger Chris Balchuas, from Houston, Texas, told reporters after the flight. “They just said there was a medical emergency and were there any doctors aboard.”

Another passenger, Dr. Julien Struyzen, said he responded to the request for a doctor and pronounced the pilot dead.

A Moment With English At SMK Tengku Mahmud 2

I went to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tengku Mahmud 2 for ‘A Moment With English’ program on Tuesday, June 16, 2009.

The school was a big secondary school in Besut, Terengganu.

I read the article about Swine Flu (but now it is called Influenza A H1N1) which I wrote when it first started in Mexico.

I met Kak Athirah and a lot of  other kakaks,  abangs  and teachers there.

I enjoyed ‘A Moment With English’ at the school.

I also enjoyed the ‘mee soup’ at the school.

It was tasty but very hot.

On the way back, I stopped at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium that collapsed a few weeks ago.

I also stopped at Pantai Bari.

In English Pantai Bari is Bari Beach.

I had keropok lekor, coconut drink and watched lots of goats drinking left over coconut drink from the coconut shells.

I love to go to Besut and I wish to go there again soon.

My Father’s Uncle Segoked By A Cow

Yesterday morning my father’s uncle was ‘segoked’ by a cow.

‘Segok’ means hit by a cow.

I call my father’s uncle Tok Teh.

Tok Teh was ‘segoked’ by a cow when he tried to take the cow to his orchard.

The cow just had a baby.

The mother cow hit Tok Teh because she thought that Tok Teh wanted to take her baby cow away.

Tok Teh is warded in the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Kuala Terengganu Hospital.

Now I cannot take young coconut from Tok Teh’s house anymore because Tok Teh is in the hospital.

Actually ‘segok’ is Trengganuspeak.

Stadium Roof Collapsed (Atap Stadium Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Runtuh)

Tuesday morning the roof of the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium (Stadium Sultan Mizan  Zainal Abidin) in Terengganu collapsed.

I came back to Kuala Lumpur from Kuala Terengganu on Monday so I cannot go to the stadium and see the collapsed roof by myself.

Anyway I saw lots of photos of the stadium.

It was a disaster.

I think too many cars passed around the stadium so the roof started to shake.

Suddenly the roof started to fell down and with a loud sound of  ‘kabushpeshpesh’ the roof collapsed.
