Flu Songs

I wrote 2 posts about swine flu.

And my mother told me about the flu songs.

I checked the Google to know more about the songs.

First song:

Ring around the rosy,

A pocket full of  posies,

Ashes, ashes,

We all fall down.

This rhyme is about the signs of plague especially the Black Death in Europe in the 1940s or  to the Great Plague of London in 1665/6.

Second song:

I had a little bird,

It’s name was Enza,

I opened the window,

And in-flu-enza.

This rhyme relates to Influenza Pandemic of 1918.

This pandemic killed 20 to 40 million people.

It was the worst pandemic recorded in the world.

I hope the swine flu won’t become a pandemic and stop spreading to other countries.

      1. Dear Ali,

        Hmmm… Really ;)…
You know what? You’re really good at answering remarks and questions. I guess you would be good politician when you grow up. Tell the UN to stop the war and please lower the prices for things in Malaysia are too expensive!
