Flu Songs

I wrote 2 posts about swine flu.

And my mother told me about the flu songs.

I checked the Google to know more about the songs.

First song:

Ring around the rosy,

A pocket full of  posies,

Ashes, ashes,

We all fall down.

This rhyme is about the signs of plague especially the Black Death in Europe in the 1940s or  to the Great Plague of London in 1665/6.

Second song:

I had a little bird,

It’s name was Enza,

I opened the window,

And in-flu-enza.

This rhyme relates to Influenza Pandemic of 1918.

This pandemic killed 20 to 40 million people.

It was the worst pandemic recorded in the world.

I hope the swine flu won’t become a pandemic and stop spreading to other countries.

World Closer To Swine Flu Pandemic

More people were infected by swine flu.

Swine flu virus has killed 149 people in Mexico.

Children cannot go to school or play outside.

They have to wear masks.

There is more swine flu cases in the U.S.A. and Europe.

40 people were infected by swine flu in the U.S.A.

A man from Spain who visited Mexico also get swine flu.

The WHO fear that the swine flu will become a pandemic soon.

The last flu pandemic was ‘Hong Kong flu’ in 1968.

‘Hong Kong flu’ killed about 1 million  people.

I think Uncle Nisar (in Palo Alto, CA), Uncle Arif (Columbus, OH) and Uncle Mahboob (LA, CA) must be careful and read my blog so that they’ll know how to avoid swine flu.

WHO statement on swine flu

GENEVA (Reuters) – Following is the text of a World Health Organization statement issued on Monday after an emergency committee meeting on swine flu.

The Committee considered available data on confirmed outbreaks of A/H1N1 swine influenza in the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada. The Committee also considered reports of possible spread to additional countries.

On the advice of the Committee, the WHO Director-General decided on the following.

The Director-General has raised the level of influenza pandemic alert from the current phase 3 to phase 4.

Going Back To Terengganu Again

Tomorrow I am going back to Kuala Terengganu.

I think  we’ll have lunch in Kemaman again.

The restaurant is near Aunty Moon’s house.

They sell tasty chicken rice.

Uncle Azahar saw us there the last time we went home to Kuala Terengganu.

But I did not see Uncle Azahar because I don’t know that he was there too.

I hope I can meet Uncle Azahar soon.

I met Tok Cu Bee, Aunty Emy and Uncle Syed Zaid at a bloggers meeting on Saturday 🙂

Can I meet Uncle Azahar at the nasi ayam restaurant tomorrow?

I hope there will be no water problems at Petronas Mountain Station 🙂

Now My Strawy Is Dead

Strawy is my strawberry plant.

I love Strawy very much.

I love to eat Strawy’s fruits.

But now Strawy is dead.

I am very, very sad because Strawy is dead.

Swine Flu

Swine flu outbreak started in Mexico.

In Mexico more than 81 people died and more than 100 people were sickened by the flu.

All schools are closed in Mexico City and some other places in Mexico.

In the US at least 11 people had swine flu so far.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) fear that more people will get the flu and cause a pandemic around the world.

Swine flu pandemic can kill millions of people.

A pandemic is a disaster.

The virus that causes the flu is a mix of human, pig and bird viruses.

Some signs of swine flu are high fever, body aches, coughing, sore throat, vomiting and diarrhoea.

We can try to avoid swine flu by :

1. Avoid being in crowded places for example shopping malls and zoos.

2. Wash your hands carefully using anti-bacteria soap.

3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth because this is how germs get into our body.

4. Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing.

5. Wear a mask to cover your nose and mouth.

6. Take vitamin C and garlic to fight germs.

7. Take lots of water, fruit juice, tea and herb tea.

CNN) — Mexican officials are asking citizens to avoid large crowds, refrain from kissing as a greeting and maintain a distance of at least 1.8 meters (six feet) from each other amid growing concern in the country and elsewhere over new cases of suspected and confirmed swine flu infection.

Several countries issued travel notices and tightened restrictions to brace against the virus the World Health Organization is calling “a public health emergency of international concern.”

By Sunday, 81 deaths had been deemed “likely linked” to a deadly new strain of the virus by health authorities in Mexico. Viral testing has confirmed 20 cases, said Dr. Jose A. Cordova Villalobos, Mexico’s health secretary. In the United States, the number of confirmed swine flu cases stood at 11.

In New Zealand, officials said 22 students and three teachers, who returned from a three-week-long language trip to Mexico, may have been infected with the virus.

The 25 students and teachers at Auckland’s Rangitoto College returned to New Zealand via Los Angeles on Saturday.

Fourteen have shown flu-like symptoms, with four “more unwell than others,” said Dr. Julia Peters, clinical director of Auckland Regional Public Health Service.

Health Minister Tony Ryall said 10 students tested positive for influenza A. The specimens will be sent to WHO to determine whether it is H1N1 swine influenza. H1N1 influenza is a subset of influenza A.

The WHO results are expected back by midweek. The group remains quarantined at home.

A Bloggers Meeting

This morning I met Aunty Emy, Tok Cu Bee and Uncle  Syed Mohd Zaid at Shukur Nasi Dagang in Subang Jaya for breakfast.

Anyway I did not eat nasi dagang.

I ate fried mee hoon.

It was yummy but too hot and spicy.

Aunty Emy (RoyalTLady) and Tok Cu Bee (La Vie en Rose) are bloggers too.

Aunty Emy always send comments  to my blog  😉

She is Uncle Azahar ‘s friend.

Uncle Azahar is a blogger (Nature Lover) too and he also sent me lots of commets 😉

Uncle Azahar is a vet or animal doctor.

He knows a lot about animals  just like Diego 🙂

Uncle  Syed Mohd Zaid works as a Malaysian Airlines pilot.

He explained what made the FeDex cargo plane crashed and exploded into a fireball in Tokyo Narita Airport.

Very strong wind made the plane cannot land properly and the plane tilt.

The wing touched the runway and the fuel from the plane made the plane exploded.

Uncle Syed Mohd Zaid said that it is one of the dangers in landing a plane and it can happen even to a good pilot.

I think that was like a bloggers meeting 🙂

We should stop destroying our earth to avoid disasters.

We should take good care of our earth.

We should not let our earth be full of trash.

I think we should conserve water.

Conserve water means do not waste water.

My Strawberry Plant

My strawberry plant‘s name is Strawy.

I first saw Strawy at a farmer’s market.

Then I asked my mother to buy Strawy for me because I love to eat strawberries.

We paid RM 7 for Strawy.

It has lots of fruits when we bought it and two of the fruits are already red and ripe.

The strawberries looked very delicious.

I water Strawy twice a day.

I brought Strawy to Kuala Terengganu and brought it back to Kuala Lumpur.

But now Strawy can’t go to Kuala Terengganu anymore because it is dying.

I think Strawy is dying because we took it to Kuala Terengganu.

It was too sunny in Kuala Terengganu .

In Kuala Terengganu

Strawy needs a shady place and just a little water.

It will die if we put it under the hot sun or in heavy rain.

I am very sad because I can’t take Strawy to Kuala Terengganu again.

The Playground at Pantai Batu Buruk

There is a nice playground at  Pantai Batu Buruk.

In English Pantai Batu Buruk is Batu Buruk Beach.

I always go there when we go to Kuala Terengganu.

I like to play at the playground because it is fun.

There are slides, seesaw, swings and others.

I like the two players seesaw.

I sit on one end and my big sister Kafah sits on the other end.

Then the seesaw moves up and down.

Seesaw is the best.

You have to be careful when playing at the playground.

You can get hurt if you fall down from the swings or the slides.

SUBWAY Restaurant

sells tasty sandwiches

There are lots of SUBWAY Restaurants in U.S.

I wanted to go to the SUBWAY because the sandwiches looks yummy.

There are lots of SUBWAY Restaurants in U.S.

When I was a little boy we used to go to SUBWAY for dinner.

My grandfather likes to eat at SUBWAY too.

Last week I wanted to go to SUBWAY for lunch but everybody else wanted to go to the Black Canyon Coffee.

So I went to buy some drinks at SUBWAY with my father.

SUBWAY sells healthy fast food.

I hope next time I can go to SUBWAY 🙂
