Yesterday there was a brown spot on the kitchen ceiling.
It was a big spot.
It was actually BUDU!
Here is the story.
I was playing in the playroom.
Suddenly I heard mama and Kaman screaming.
I went to the kitchen and smell something smelly.
I saw a big brown thing on my house’s kitchen ceiling.
There were also tiny brown spots on the kitchen floor.
My mother told me that it is BUDU
It can go up there because it exploded.
My mother was opening a bottle of budu.
SPLASH!
Suddenly the budu blast of to the ceiling.
I want to know why budu explode?
Before this I don’t know that budu can explode.

My big sister Aeshah Adlina loves budu…She eats chilly padi too.

You could ask uncle Azhar anything scientifically…he seems to know all. He takes great care in noting things down so carefully and intelligently!
I love budu too. This is how I eat it.
cut finely: serai, plenty of shallots, lime, chilly padi, add tempoyak.
prepare budu: mix with hot water and tapis (sieve)…
eat with all kinds of ulam, fresh basil included.

Luckily it did not explode onto your lap or worse still onto your face son.
In any budu container there will be gas production due to fermentation process. Too much gas produced will cause a sudden increase intra-container pressure. When the pressure reaches a certain point, it just pushes the container cover and splosh it went!
The same thing happened with tempoyak!
