In Photos: 6 Killed In Texas Tornadoes (May 15, 2013)

Multiple people were killed Wednesday as a spring tornado outbreak devastated parts of North Texas.

At least ten tornadoes hit north Texas killing at least six people on May 15, 2013.

Seven people were missing while about fifty people were injured in Granbury.

According to the National Weather Service, another tornado about a mile wide tore through Cleburne, Texas, about 25 miles southeast of Granbury.

This is a disaster.

I am sad and sorry for the families and friends of the victims.

Tornadoes and very strong winds peel the roofs from homes in the Deep South and heaped snow and ice on the Midwest.

Golf-ball and baseball-sized hail pelted parts of Georgia and the Carolinas late Thursday and early Friday.

Deadly tornadoes batter Mississippi, Georgia, Indiana and Tennessee on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

The tornadoes damaged buildings, vehiches and trees.

Lots of houses were damaged in Solsberry, Indiana.

At least two people were killed, one in Georgia and the other in Nashville, Tennessee.

Rare Tornadoes Strike In New York City

Tornadoes are very rare in New York City but on Saturday, September 8, 2012 two tornadoes struck the city.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

Videos taken by bystanders showed a funnel cloud sucking the water up from the sea, then sand from the ground soon the pieces of buildings as the tornado continues to go through the Breezy Point section of the Rockaway peninsula in Queens.

The first tornado swept out of the sea and hit a beachfront neighborhood, and knocked-down fences and smashed windows.

The second was stronger than the first.

It hit west, also near the water in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn 7 minutes after the first.

It  tore through parts of Brooklyn together with strong winds causing damages to some houses and felling trees.

The National Weather Service reported winds were up to  177 kilometers (110 miles) per hour.

This is a disaster.

Isaac was downgraded to a tropical depression on Thursday and is moving into the central United States.

It left little damage in New Orleans, where stronger barriers were installed after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 but leaving large areas of the region flooded.

A report says that seven tornadoes have spun off from Isaac in Mississippi and Alabama.

A tornado that touched down in Gulfport, Mississippi had caused significant destruction to homes.

Now, there is a potential failure of Lake Tangipahoa Dam in Mississippi’s Percy Quin State Park.

Authorities ordered the immediate evacuation of tens of thousands of residents in nearby communities in Louisiana and Mississippi as a protective measure if the dam burst flooded the areas.

Tropical Storm Debby Heads For Florida – Photos

Tropical Storm Debby is moving slowly to the Florida coast on Sunday, June 24. 

This brings strong winds and waves that forced the closure of about a quarter of offshore oil and gas production in the Gulf of Mexico.

Several Alabama beaches were closed due to rough surf.

According to an emergency management official, earlier on Sunday, it caused tornadoes that killed a woman, severely injured a child and wrecked homes in central Florida in rural Highlands County.

The National Hurricane Center maintained a storm warning for the Mississippi-Alabama border, extended warnings for Florida’s northwest coast to Englewood, and discontinued warnings for the Louisiana coast.

Residents were warned to expect storm conditions within 36 hours.

This is a disaster.

There were dozens of tornadoes that destroyed buildings, vehicles and trees across the Midwest during the weekend.

Tornado is a natural disaster that sucked up things along its path and dropped them back to the ground may be a few meters away.

I first learned about tornadoes after reading the book, ‘The Wizard of Oz’.

I was 4 years old at that time and I wondered why only Dorothy’s house was sucked up by the twister and not some other things around it.

Actually tornado only destroys things along its path.

At Least Five Killed By Night time Tornado In Oklahoma

Reuters reported that at least five people were killed on Sunday while some people were injured when a tornado hit a northwest city of Woodward, Oklahoma early on Sunday morning as tornadoes swept across the U.S. Plains states.

Tornadoes were spotted across the Midwest and Plains on Saturday damaging buildings and vehicles in Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Oklahoma.

A number of people were reportedly injured in those incidents.

Iowa emergency officials said a large part of the town of Thurman in the western part of the state was destroyed Saturday night but luckily nobody was killed.

Weather forecasters warned that severe storms and more tornadoes touchdown is expected in the region for the rest of the weekend.

On Tuesday April 3, 2012,  a swarm of tornadoes hit Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.

This is a disaster and I am very sorry for the victims.

On Tuesday, a swarm of tornadoes hit Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.

At least 17 people were injured in this disaster.

This year the tornadoes had caused 57 deaths in the Midwest and South of USA while 550 were killed by tornadoes in 2011.

161 people were killed in Joplin, Missouri by a monster tornado on May 22, 2011.
