Meeting YB Dato’ Zulkifli Noordin

15 01 2013
I(R) was very excited to meet one of my favourite politician, Uncle Zulkifli Noordin(L)..

I(R) was very excited to meet one of my favourite politician, Uncle Zulkifli Noordin(L).

During SEMAIAN, my big sister Kashah and I spoke to one of our favourite politician, YB Dato’ Zulkifli Noordin, an Independent Member of Parliament for Kulim – Bandar Baharu, Kedah.

When he was still a PKR MP, Uncle Zul went against the opposition’s stands on ”Allah” issue; just like what Uncle Nasharudin Mat Isa is doing now.

Even though I often saw Uncle Zul Noordin at other MUAFAKAT‘s programs, this is the first time I spoke to him.

I had the chance to talk one of my favourite politician, Uncle Dato' Zulkifli Noordin.

I was very excited to have the chance to speak to one of my favourite politician, Uncle Dato’ Zulkifli Noordin.

It was so wonderful talking to him for he is very nice and very friendly.

I was so excited meeting him that I forget all the questions that I wanted to ask him.

It was something like how I felt the day I met Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on May 23, 2010.

Well, at the time I was a big fan of Anwar but not anymore after I heard his March 18, 2010′s speech at the London School Of Economics on YouTube .

Uncle Zul said that when he was studying in New Zealand, Uncle Zul met a man who gave him advices that made him a better person.

And that day, Uncle Zul advised me to always tell the truth, no matter what and stand for the truth.

While we were talking, AntaraPos’s reporters came to interview him.

Uncle and aunties from AntaraPos interviewing Uncle Dato' Zulkifli Noordin.

After the interview, I asked Uncle Zul for an autograph.

n

Uncle Zul(L) wrote wise words in my autograph while I(R) looked on.

Uncle Zul also gave me his business card and that made me feel so proud.

I wish I can talk to Uncle Zulkifli Noordin again and this time I’m going to ask him some questions.

I am so happy and thankful to be able speak to a lot of wonderful people.

Northern Australian Total Solar Eclipse – The Last Until 2015

13 11 2012

There will be a solar eclipse in parts of northern Australia for a few minutes from shortly after dawn Wednesday (Nov. 14) local time in Australia or 3:35 p.m. EST (2035 GMT) Tuesday.

(Please click here for the photos of the total solar eclipse)

(Please click here for for the awesome video of the 2012 Australian Total Solar Eclipse)

This will be the world’s last solar eclipse until March 2015.

It could be seen in Northern Territory, state of Queensland and the Pacific Ocean.

If we are not in those places, we could still watch the rare phenomenon live from the Internet.

The Tourism Tropical North Queensland and the Slooh Space Camera will provide free webcasts of the event.

The broadcasts will begin at 1 p.m. EST (1800 GMT) and 2:30 p.m. EST (1930 GMT) on Tuesday, respectively.

SPACE.com reported that:

The total eclipse of the sun will begin over the Arnhem Land region of the Northern Territory, where the moon’s shadow will touch down at 3:35 p.m. EST (2035 GMT). [Video: Watch Path of Nov. 13-14 Total Solar Eclipse]

Then the eclipse path moves southeast across the Gulf of Carpentaria to Queensland, darkening the skies over towns such as Mitchell River and Palmerville before reaching the coastal city of Cairns at 3:39 p.m. EST (2039 GMT).

Shortly after sunrise, skywatchers in Cairns will witness a total solar eclipse lasting two minutes.

From Cairns, the moon’s shadow will cruise out into the vast Pacific Ocean, with the total eclipsefinally petering out 610 miles (980 kilometers) west-northwest of Santiago, Chile, at 6:48 p.m. EST (2348 GMT).

The eclipse’s path of totality is about 108 miles (174 km) wide and covers 9,000 miles (14,500 km) over a three-hour period.

The next total solar eclipse occurs in March 2015 and will be visible from some areas in the North Atlantic region, such as Norway’s Svalbard Islands.

However, a so-called “hybrid” eclipse — which shifts between total and annular at different points on the globe — will come to parts of the Atlantic and central Africa in November 2013.

A Visit To The IKIM.fm Studio

30 10 2012

On Monday morning October 29, 2012, I went to the IKIM office.

I was standing at one of the corridors connecting the IKIM offices.

I went there because my father was going to be interviewed on IKIM.fm’s Warna Pagi, talking about the Seminar Dakwah Nasional.

While waiting, I was introduced to Aunty Siti and Uncle Suffian.

At the IKIM.fm radio station. From left is Uncle Suffian (in front of him is me), Kashah, Kafah and Aunty Siti.

I was given a chance to be in the studio where they recorded the radio program.

And luckily, I was invited to stay in the studio until the end of the live-recording of the interview.

Inside the studio, from left is Aunty Siti, Uncle Suffian, me and my father.

Aunty Siti and  Uncle Suffian were very nice and friendly and I really enjoyed meeting them.

I hope to be able to go there again and get interviewed on one of IKIM.fm’s programs like my father :)

A Visit To The TV AlHijrah Studio

15 10 2012

On Saturday, October 13, 2012, I went to the TV AlHijrah headquarters at the Pusat Islam Complex, Kuala Lumpur.

I went there because my father was going to be on air in the morning program named, Assalamualaikum.

Kashah (L) and I at the TV AlHijrah office.

My father on air during ‘Assalamualaikum’ on TV AlHijrah.

While waiting for my father’s and Pak Cik Ismail Mina’s turn to be on air, we met Aunty Farah Adeeba.

We were talking with Aunty Farah (L). In the middle is a lady from Kementerian Kesihatan who was on air before my father.

I was given a chance to have a look at the studio where they recorded the program.

But I could only be there for a short while since the program was aired life.

As soon as I snapped the photo, I went to another room to watch the program on TV.

After the program, we spoke with Aunty Farah and Abang Amin Idris.

Meeting Indiana Jones Again

14 10 2012

On October 10, 2012, we fetched our Australian friend, Rupert Mann from the Islamic Arts Museum.

Like Indiana Jones, Rupert is an archaeologist and wears a hat too.

I wore the hat that he gave me during his last trip to Malaysia in February 2012, and I was very happy because he wore the same hat too :)

It was really fun talking to him again after 8 months since we last met.

He gave us lots of beautiful stamps from all around the world.

We were looking at the beautiful stamps.

He flew to Kuala Lumpur on his way to Kathmandu, Nepal for a hiking trip.

We went to a frozen yoghurt shop, Tutti Frutti which served very tasty frozen yogurt with all kinds of toppings.

I really enjoyed talking to Rupert and he is really fun to be with.

Everybody in my family really like Rupert because he is a wonderful and nice friend.

Rupert is very polite and very wise too.

I gave him the book that I wrote, titled, ‘The Calovinia’ and I hope that he’ll enjoy the book.

Rupert (R) and I holding ‘The Calovinia’.

I love meeting him and I really hope to meet him again soon.

Acting As The Deputy Prime Minister

13 10 2012

The afternoon before the Seminar Dakwah Nasional, we were already busy at the Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) to get things ready for the seminar.

Uncle Mahmud who was the event floor manager, told us that we need to do a rehearsal of the officiating ceremony by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia so that he could estimate the timing of the event.

When I volunteered to be the DPM, Uncle Mahmud thought that I was too young and fear if I could not do it right since the DPM was the main role in the rehearsal and I need to pretend to make the opening speech and launch the books.

Anyway, Pak Cik Amin supported me and so were the others who said that I’ll be able to do it.

And so, I became the Deputy Prime Minister in the rehearsal :)

Abang Nasrul (L) as Datuk Nakhaie and I (M) as the DPM walked on the red carpet to Dewan Merdaka, Oct. 7, 2012.

Abang Nasrul volunteered to be Datuk Ustaz Hj Mohd Nakhaie, Pak Cik Burhan as Pak Cik Amin and Pak Cik Amin as Ustaz Muhammad ‘Uthman El-Muhammady.

Pak Cik Amin (L), Abang Nasrul (2nd L), I and another abang (R) who played the roll of Pak Cik Amin listening to instructions from Uncle Mahmud. In the background were Pak Cik Burhan and my father (R).

It was fun but it was not that easy and I must do it seriously because the event was very important and Uncle Mahmud needed the right timing for the music and other things.

I had to walk from the beginning of the red carpet escorted by Abang Nasrul to the Dewan Merdeka followed by Kashah who played the role as the media.

I need to walk like an important leader.

As the DPM, I must not walk too fast or not too slow and I must walk on the red carpet.

And at last, when I arrived at the Dewan Merdeka, I went up the stage and was greeted by Pak Cik Amin.

Uncle Mahmud was very busy directing us.

I sat at the DPM’s seat and Abang Nasrul escorted me to the rostrum to make the speech to officiate the seminar.

Abang Nasrul accompanied me as the DPM to officiate the seminar.

I am too small for the rostrum that Kashah had to snap the photo of me giving speech from the side.

After that we went to our seats.

Next I went to the other side of the stage to launch the books followed Abang Nasrul and Pak Cik Amin.

Pak Cik Amin (R) accompanied me to launch the new books.

Pak Cik Burhan (L) and Uncle Mahmud busy giving instructions during the rehearsal.

I (L) and Pak Cik Burhan on the stage listening to Pak Cik Amin (L) and Uncle Mahmud (R).

Another photo of the rehearsal.

We were busy acting our rolls.

I posed to the press after launching the books.

I enjoyed my roll as the DPM.

We need to do things seriously because we were rehearsing for an important event.

The music was too loud and the speaker was very near so it hurt my ears.

We had to do the rehearsal 3 times :)

We need to start all over again.

I am very glad to help even though I am the youngest volunteer.

I was very excited to play the role as the DPM and give a speech on the stage at the Dewan Merdeka, PWTC because I want to become a politician and give speeches at PWTC.

In 2006, as I watched my big sister Kaman and Kashah gave a speech at PWTC, I told my mother that one day I’ll give a speech at PWTC too :)

Seminar Dakwah Nasional At Dewan Merdeka, PWTC (Day 1)

11 10 2012

Pertubuhan Muafakat Sejahtera Masyarakat Malaysia (Muafakat) had successfully organised a two-day Seminar Dakwah Nasional (National Islamic Missionary Movements Seminar) on October 8 and 9, 2012 at Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), in Kuala Lumpur.

The seminar was officiated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Tan Sri Haji Muhyiddin bin Haji Mohd Yassin on October 8, 2012 .

At the event, YAB Tan Sri Haji Muhyiddin launched three new books, Falsafah Agama John Hick, Pluralisme Agama: Satu Gerakan Iblis Memurtadkan Ummah and Pluralisme Agama di Alam Melayu.

  10. YB Ustaz Nasharuddin Mat Isa

Ustaz Muhammad ‘Uthman El-Muhammady presenting his papers during the Seminar Dakwah Nasional at the Dewan Merdeka, PWTC in Kuala Lumpur, October 8, 2012.

I met Ustaz Muhammad ‘Uthman El-Muhammady, Wan Adli Wan Ramli, Dr. Amran Muhammad, Prof. Dato’ Dr Sidek Baba, Ir. Dr. Muhamad Fuad Yeoh Abdullah, Professor Dato’ Paduka Mohamad Abu Bakar, Profesor Datuk Dr. Abdul Latiff Abu Bakar, Datuk Ustaz Hj Mohd Nakhaie Ahmad, YB Ustaz Nasharuddin Mat Isa, Atuk Mansor, Atuk Rahim, Abang Nazri, Abang Amnan, Abang Aiman, Abang Amar, Kak Aishah, Umi Wan, Umi Ila, Nenek Ummi, Pak Cik Amin, Pak Cik Burhan, YAB Tan Sri Haji Muhyiddin bin Haji Mohd Yassin, Tok Mad, Uncle Rameli Musa, Uncle Ustaz Ismail Mina bin Ahmad, Uncle Mustafar Kamil, Khairy Jamaluddin’sMother, and other wonderful people who attended the seminar.

I also joined the Qasidah presentation together with the students of Darul Quran.

The Qasidah presentation by the students of Darul Quran. I sat at the left.

I joined the group of VIPs to a special room where Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin met Dr. Aiman Zaidan from the Al-Quds Foundation, Beirut.

I am very proud and happy to be able to snap this photo and to be at this event. From left is YB Nasharudin Mat Isa, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (M) and Dr. Aiman Zaidan (R), PWTC, October 8, 2012.

I was very lucky to be able to snap the above photo of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin receiving a souvenir which was a gift from Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi.

This is the biggest seminar ever organised by MUAFAKAT.

More than 1200 people attended the seminar until we ran out of seats and had to open the seats on the upper floor.

After the end of the seminar on the first day, I was interviewed by TV AlHijrah.

And when the interview was over, I was chased by groups of abangs and kakaks from UPSI to talk and snap photos with me.

That was really fun :)

But it was hard work too and we had so much work to do.

I tried to help as much as I could since the day before the seminar.

I helped to usher people to the registration tables and to the seminar hall on the first and the second day of the seminar.

I also helped Abang Aiman to send an important note to the moderator during the seminar.

Because I’m the youngest and the smallest volunteer, I was always assigned to go up on stage to send notes or others to the penal of speakers during programs and seminars.

But the best part was during the rehearsal on the night before the program when my role was to be the Deputy Prime Minister.

The Wedding Of Dr. Ishak Mas’ud’s Son

18 09 2012

On Sept 16, 2012 I went to the German Malaysian Institute to attend the wedding celebration of Uncle Dr. Ishak Mas’ud’s and Aunty Wadi’s son.

The groom’s name is Muhammad Hafeez and the bride’s name is Nurul Iffah.

Over there I met my pediatrician, Uncle Dr. Khairul, his wife and Uncle Raja Ahmad Aminullah.

Dr Khairul used to work at the Al-iSLAM Specialist Hospital (AISH) in Kampung Baru.

From left is me, my father, Kashah and Dr. Khairul (R) at the German Malaysian Institute.

I also met Uncle Raja Ahmad Aminullah at the wedding.

I only ate the sweet watermelon and grapes and drank the tasty orange juice because I was too full after eating the roast lamb at Uncle Datuk Paduka Prof.  Mohamad Abu Bakar’s open house and another plate of lamb, a bowl of cendol and ice-cream at ISMA’s open house.

We met a lot of AISH’s staffs at the wedding and we also met Aunty Sham.

At ISMA’s open house, I met Uncle Aminuddin Yahya,  Uncle Ustaz Abdullah Zaik Abdul Rahman, Uncle Dr. Yusri Mohammad and a lot of other NGOs leaders and members.

Uncle Aminuddin Yahya is also the president of PEMBELA.

Uncle Aminuddin Yahya (L) and me at ISMA’s open house.

Meeting Datuk Seri Najib’s Political Secretary, Datuk Sahlan Ismail

17 09 2012

Yesterday I went to Uncle Datuk Sahlan bin Ismail’s Eid open house.

Uncle Datuk Sahlan is the Prime Minister’s political secretary.

I ate ketupat with chicken rendang and drank orange juice.

I asked him questions regarding BN and PR.

I was asking Uncle Datuk Sahlan some questions.

He told me that BN is the best choice for Malaysia.

And we agree that even though BN did lots of wrong things, but PR is much worse.

One thing that I learn is BN supporters and politicians accept that BN is not perfect but PR supporters and politicians always claim to be perfect and would blame others for all the bad things that they did.

We can only be better if we can learn from our mistakes.

I am very happy to meet Uncle Datuk Sahlan and even happier because he said that I’m a good understander and a good listener.

i am very happy to meet Uncle Datuk Sahlan.
